Hey, my friend was gonna get a tippman A-5 or Custom98 (both with flatline)Which one goes farther and is more acurate w/ flatline? | The performance of the flatline barrel on both the M98C and the A-5, is about the same. The A-5 has a slight edge on reliability, but the person pulling the trigger makes more of a difference. I have an A-5 and my teamate has a M98C, both with a flatline. On the bench rest my A-5 is more accurate, but my teamate is much more accurate than me in the field. The accuracy of a particular gun or barrel is very subjective, which is why when you ask which is better, you get so many opposing answers. |

| the A-5 flatline is a little more accurate (what i have heard) compared to the 98 flatline because of the length of the barrel. The 98 flatline has a longer barrel causing more backspin causing the ball to rise once it goes so far. The A-5 on the otherhand doesn't have the end piece like the 98 causing less backspin. (This is what i have heard and observed) it could possibly the velocity |

As for farther, statistically the A-5 should be alittle further since it provides more backspin (so i've heard) allowing the ball to fly in a strait line longer before dropping.
