Ok well i have a tippmann 98 custom and 2- 2 piece barrels. I dont know whether i should sell my tippmann and get a WGP Trilogy Competition Autococker and buy a nitro bottle... or... Keep the tippmann, buy a Spyder Fenix, And a new barrel back so i can use my barrels for both guns, what do u think??

(and i am on a budget, if i got the fenix i might be able to buy a little bit of upgrades, where as the cocker, i wouldn't be able to buy anything new for a while.)

I would say cocker and also with selling your gun you wont get that much money for it at all. Tippmann resell values are really low because there everywhere.

You can't compare a closed bolt marker and a open bolt blow back sear tripper...

No sense?

Compare a front wheel drive ricer to a rear wheel drive muscle car. Compare a rusty pickup to a true import tuner car. Compare a filet to a suet. Hot chick to an ugly chick.

All open bolt/closed bolt means is how the firing cycle is started. the resale value on your tippy is gonna be like mabe 100 bucks depending on condition and how old it is, And also who you sell it too.

Well, mech cockers work very nicly, with little things that can go wrong. Once you slap on the Eblade and make it electric the problems are more likly to start. If you don't think you can learn how to use a cocker, stick with the tippmann. Use the money you would spend on the spyder on the tippmann. You can buy a R/T or an ebolt, a new tank, a drop, a reg, a barrel, double trigger, and a new hopper, you pick.

hmmm... let me think... this is posted in a Tippmann forum, in which 90% of its members hate spiders... and 50% of the members own Cockers...  I wonder what will win.... *cough* Bias thread *cough* *cough*

I would suggest a Cocker. The spyder isnt a bad gun, its just not as well as the others. They also freeze up in cold weather, and chop more. Cockers, from my experiance, don't do that, lol. It depends what you are wanting to do, if you want to compete in speedball, cocker, if ur just playin woodsball with friends keep the 98 and the spyder. But its your choice, you can do whatever you like.

*cough* Spyders suck *cough* Who are you trying to kid?

I'd expect myself to be biased after playing with both guns. I've shot numerous cockers and numerous spyders. A cheap cocker isn't the best gun out there... but Spyders are made with the cheapest components that I've ever seen. The metal in their screws, bodies, etc... is sooo weak and malleable that they're practically useless. Oh, and I can't stand the way that the trigger works. The back of the trigger pushes a button? Mouse click, mouse click, mouse click....    lame.
