anyone that doesn't like him has probably gotten criticized by him. anyone that got criticized by him probably did something stupid to deserve it. anyone that likes him has at least some common sense and doesn't do the stupid stuff that ends up in Enos making fun of them. |

So we stop the "flamming" - that doesn't mean you stop the discussion. There have been plenty of polite religious discussions around here. You would have those opportunities destroyed because some chumps can't control themselves? And making something else look like a joke is what speech is all about. All you are talking about is prohibiting speech you don't like, so you don't have to read things that offend you. That isn't just censorship, it is the very worst form of censorship.

Which Muslim term exactly are you referring to? You made me curious now... But you are changing the story now. If we didn't allow people to say "Jesus freak" would that make you feel better, and we could have our religious discussions? Even if, during that discussion, Enos made several polite but disparaging comments about Christians?

I am completely for open discussion/debate/critisism on any and all religion. As to Enos, he is making Pro-Carbine parts, that makes him good in my books. On a side note; Enos is definately not "PC".

And I don't think Enos has an anti-Christianity campaign.. he has an anti-sheep campaign. As he says over and over.. think for yourself. Thats why i really respect you on that senn, you have a clue. If someone honestly believes in jesus, well good for them. I just believe that faith and religion is a personal thing, and going to some big church and listening to some pompous pastor waters down whats important. Oh and junkie, im very polite about helping people with gun problems. Granted i dont have much patience with problems that could easily be solves by reading the manual. -------------

A lot of things Enos says get on my nerves, but that's just because of
differing opinions. Sometimes it seems like he hates things solely
because they're popular. I have no gripes whatsoever about his
moderating, hell, I'm glad he's a mod, otherwise we wouldn't have any
order here at all.

That's exactly what i thought, i just didnt know how to say it. He doesnt like consoles (xbox, halo, ds) or pcs. Those are more popular than their counterparts (mac gaming, macs, etc). But besides all of that, he is a great moderator and without him this forum would be a hell hole.. -------------

how is that polite? You are critisizing(sp?) one of the most important parts of religion. Its not constructive either. You don't know they have exaggerated dignity or high self-esteem. People (Christians) are supposed to be humble. All of the churches I've been to, the preechers were humble. They dont have an exaggerated dignity. They have dignity buts its not exaggerated. |

how many churches have you been to? because i know i've personally seen several pastors that qualify as pompus, i've seen several pastor's that probably have less biblical knowledge than me, and i'm just an 18 year old kid, and yet they act like they are the uber pastor.
think for yourself means don't believe in something just because someone tells you too, think about it for yourself, look into it, analize it, find out if there is really truth there. |

Am I the only one who noticed that the people who are "Anti-Enos"
aren't regulars in the chat? Maybe if you were competent enough to stop
by, and see that it's not some Enos-fest, there are other people. And you can't use the "I don't go because Enos is there and will ban me right away LOL" argument. You aren't banned just for entering, you are if you act like a asshat and the first thing you say is "ENOS F j00!" Or if you do something equally stupid, like flood. Pro-Shenk Even though we don't agree on religion and alot more things, he will always listen and regard his opinion to WHY and not just hate something just because. Plus he always talks to on my computer problems.............. No to mention the only active-mod. The only defense the forum has against trolls like Pope Mobile. -------------

Yup yup. Arguing with Rambino will force you to either give up or become proficient in defending your faith. Anyone remember the Homosexuality thread? And as for setting emotion alerts lower... we can't do that. Everyone knows that mentioning Jesus in any way constitutes "forcing religion on people" and violates the 1 / 0th Amendment, the only place in the Constitution where the words 'separation of church and state' are used. And if anyone here tries to correct me on this and insist that I'm wrong, I urge you to re-read what I've said. Math is fun. This is why I don't tend to get offended in religion debates: I know that I'm choosing to respond and defend my faith. Being angry because someone else has a different faith or idea than you is not only the height of arrogance, but the definition of intolerance. Man, turkey makes me philosophical. And tired.
