I'm personally still attached to my computer for all things gaming if
for no other reason than I don't like not having my mouse and keyboard
but I have found something thing that may ease that issue. Anyway, I
might be getting a ps2 for xmas. Which is your fav?

I don't think you can compare xbox to a pc... I'm still going to say xbox. Eventhough a pc is clearly better, I prefer xbox. ------------- YONK~!~ |

I Have never played a Game nearly as fun As KillZone(Except Mario64,
and GoldenEye)... I've tryed Halo 2, and that was a big disappointment
unless your plaing Multyplayer.... (thats a whole diffrent story)...
The Funnest thing to do in KillZone is Grabing the Giant 40mm Cannon thing and blowing one of those Dropships out of the Sky...  -------------

Xbox is the best!!! I love it Playstation is good but not as good as xbox PC games are fun for a while but then get boring after like a week Gamecube sucks Handheld games are frustrating -------------

I say xbox ive tried gaming on the comp but i dont like it dont care for the mouse and keyboard and online lag is ten times worse so is the cheating and ive heard PC has better graphics but ive still yet to see a game on PC with better graphics then a few xbox games i can mention so over all if i had the cash for a PC id buy an xbox and stuff for it -------------

PC games Innovate. Consoles Immitate.
There's no way you can get the game play out of a console that you can out of a PC. The graphics are superior, the game play is much smoother, supposing you're computer can handle it. Keyboard + Mouse > Controller. I mean, you have around 100 keys you can Hotkey to do stuff. Rather than like 8 that you have to do combos and stuff. No contest. |

I'm going to agree with frozen, real friends>monitor glow. But, you could LAN but you need multiple PCs and not everyone always has access to that. You could go to a LAN party place, but that costs the green $$$. -------------

The only bad thing about PCs is that you almost constantly have to
update your sysytem to stay up with the new games. With consoles you
know the game will work and you never have to upgrade.

A computer can have only so many games before it becomes slow,

When you get vehicles on Halo 2 it = teh laggage. I like all consoles over PC, mainly bcuz a good PC = $1,500. My dad's company buys his compoopers for him, so he gets cheaper ones. I am using our newest an 98. We got this wehn XP and stuff was out. I also don't like using the keyboard and mouse over a controller. The controller just feels more right to me. Also there are like 3 games that are on the pooper that are in the top 50 of games that aren't also on a console. ------------- yay do i win? |

I write and access the internet through my computer, and that's about where my interest ends. I play some games like Starcraft or Warcraft on there, but that's about it. I don't do any longer term or intensive gaming on there. I just don't coordinate that way.
I like consoles for gaming. Just a preference. -------------

| The pc is so much better for most games than any console. First person shooters are much better on the pc because its so much easier to move, aim, and shoot than with a controller. Strategy games are also a lot better on pc than consoles. |

I really dont find first person shooters better on a pc, they're much more challenging on a console, where you cant just click where you want to shoot, and shoot there instantly. I personally like Xbox the best, but still play my ps2 for GTA: San Andreas. |

Laff. New school kids are idiots, plain and simple. Consoles cant touch computer gaming in ANY respect other than hardware/software compatibility (because its all the same crap), and platform games like mario. Especially not in innovation and quality of games. I still stick to my guns that consoles are so popular because they cater to idiots. You dont have to install, you dont have to think, you dont have to deal with OMG 110 keys, you dont have to have decent hardware. The games are simplistic rehashed crap for the most part. As far as im concerned the ONLY developers making original content for consoles is square and nintendo, and both are going down the tubes fast under the pressure of the 12 year old idiot brigades demand for simple "blow stuff up and see some half naked women along the way" games that you can beat in 24 hours. -------------

my PC is several years old and only cost 900 when it was new, i could probably get a comparable one for half that now, and it still runs morrowind better than x-box does. |

I personaly like my PS2. I like the controler better, sepecialy my after-market one. The XBOX controller is just too big and odd. Also, I only play games like Max Payne, Socom, GTA, some WW2 games, and NCAA Football. I guess I'm not what you would call a "gamer", but I know what I like, and really don't care for all of that "fantasy" stuff. For me, it really doesn't matter what I have as far as graphics stuff, it's more about how much fun the games are. From what I have seen, PS2 has more of what I am looking for. Also, I love playing games like Comand and Conquere on the PC. Those are the only games I buy, but I am looking at that new game, but I can't remember what it is. Exactly alot of it is games each console has dif types of games ps2 has alot of the sports and a good variety of driving games xbox is pretty much all racing and gun games a few good sports ones though and gamecube is 98% mario 2% other stuff rated G computer has pretty much all of them but worse and a simple virus gettin on your comp can totally stop you from playing as where a console wont do that and i keep seeing posts of people sayin comps have better graphics but i have still yet to see 1 computer game with better graphics then HALO2 or full spectrum warrior and need for speed underground 2 for the xbox has better graphics aswell all i hear is a bunch of talk but no one is backing it up -------------

The walking on full spectrum is terrible though its not like ghost recon or anything when ya move the left joystick to walk instead you push a button and it gives you like a circle you use the right joystick to move the circle around your screen put the circle somewhere click and your guys walk there you dont have full control thats the only thing i dident like about the game but the graphics are amazing best ive seen on any real life based war game -------------

UT2003 UT2004 Doom 3 Half Life 2 World of Warcraft Farcry Battlefield Vietnam Lineage 2 Everquest 2 And anything to be released with UnrealEngine3 Halo1 and 2 have a good terrain engine AND THATS ALL. Indoor maps are prefabricated trash, no good level design, terrible obvious visibility breaks because the engine sucks. UnrealEngine2.5 (UT2003/2004) have just as good of a terrain engine. World of Warcraft has 10x the texture smoothness and terrain detail as halo Doom3 doesnt use a terrain engine, but the shader technology still owns anything the puny little xbox can handle. Get. A. Socom is my favorite game. PS2 KICKS A$$! I also dont like the "fantasy" games. I dont like online gameplay becuase you have to have high speed internet and it costs more money, but i still have it for Socom 2. You know that you can get controlers for the PC. Anyway, I really like flying games on the PC, cause I like using that joystick. Anyway, I do have one thing to say. The only thing EA is good for is sports games. They short-change you on all other games that they make, such as MOH (which has no levels), and they really messed up the Comand and Conquere series for the pc. All they did was make the graphics better. PC is the only system that you can continuously improve on and get the latest games for without having to buy a new system. Many console games also come out for the PC eventually, and hashi2008 doesn't realize that there ARE specialized console-resembling controllers designed specifically for PC games...
Also, I don't need a completely different service than my internet to pay for to play online... PC games have been made on CD's forever, and you can still play some of the earliest ones on modern PC's... ------------- The world is my country and my religion is to do good. |

for the record, you dont have to pay any fees to take your ps2 online. You buy the network adapter, and you're set.
Actually, ill download it a few months before it comes out, most likely. |
