ill take a shot at this one,

hes saying, why are autocockers, angels, all high end guns better(speed-wise?) than his 98 or a-5

to put it simply,
theyre faster, lighter/smaller(sometimes) and put together- i mean by like design, closed bolt etc...

No he asked why are they more accurate, i think..?

Basically, the stock barrels on tippmann suck.  Get a better barrel, i suggest a Lapco bigshot or a J&J Ceramic.  Basically high end markers come with much better barrels.

Barrel, consistancy, paint.  Many variables come into play.  Along with, if you suck at aiming you arent going to hit anything.

Crude, but correct.

it might seem like that cuz the guys with those guns are shooting so much     Recoil can take ur shot off since the tippmann hammer is a heavy ass lump of steel.  If you really want to be as accurate as the high end guns like that, you will need nitro plus a reg or double regs (they all have it), a better barrel (they have those too), and use GOOD paint sized to your bore (most of the guys with high end guns use this too)

basically top of the line guns come with top of the line barrels - another factor is that the paint to barrel match is perfect b/c of barrel kits.  Also, autocockers have closed bolts which are incredibly accurate.  Ur a-5 isnt as accurate because of the design and the barrel but it isnt meant to compete with the $1500 guns.

About recoil, that has a very minimal effect unless you can't pick up a banana.  I mean, come on.  Its a paintball marker.  I can hit just as much with my hunting rifle as with my paintball marker (Well, you know what i mean).

Well, Angels use a lower psi which results in less recoil. Also a quiter gun, which is why you tend to stick your head up in front of them.

Tippmann just puts a pipe with holes in their guns stock, because they know you're gonna replace them right off the bat. Tippmann prefers to push their Flatline products.

Paint bore. Yes, Wal-mart paint is crap compared to that shiny $60 case at the paintball shop. Large bore paint gets stuck in the barrel, causes friction, warping of the paintball, and screws up the accuracy. Cheap paint also has a very hard shell (from regrinding shell sheets) which tends to not break at long ranges.

1. Recoil
2. Barrel
3. Paint Bore (size)

My A-5 is just as accurate as an Angel with the right paint. If I pick up paint off the ground (I'd shoot myself before that) then it will never go where I aim. If I spend $60 for a case of 2000 then I can launch paintballs across the field and splatter Angel-wielding 10 year olds before they even fire their gun. My LPK I have added barely affected my recoil, mainly because the stock pretty much eliminated recoil. It would help you though. My barrel also helps to a point, but its a bit too long. It's easy to match "Angel" like power when you have an A-5. A JCS Duel trigger and a trigger mod will give you the same firing rate. I think Angels are a bit over-priced.

Consistency, consistency, consistency.  (and recoil, recoil, recoil)

Angels/cockers/whatever do a much better job than Tippmanns of delivering the same amount and pressure to the paintball each shot.  This translates into better accuracy.

This can be easily seen at the chrono station.  You'll be there with your Tippmann, clocking 298, 290, 295, 287, 294, while the guy next to you with the Angel (using the same barrel and paint as you) will clock 299, 299,297, 298, 300, 297.  That means his gun will be more accurate than yours.

This is part due to the nature of the mechanism - blowbacks are inherently inconsistent, part due to operating pressure - low pressure gives you a chance to regulate the air better, and partially due to a zillion other small factors.

But, after the paint and the barrel, consistency of air to the ball is the largest variable for determining accuracy.
