my friends and i have been using random signals to communicate and cant figure out what we are saying. we've looked all over for an official or common sense list of signals but cant find any that are good enough that we'll remember what they mean. if anyone has found or made up a list of recognizable signals, please let me know. thanks.

yeah, woodsball. writin it would distract me too much and they might not be able to see it from far distances. im sure u were kiddin though.i also cant whisper across a whole field.we were thinkin about walkie talkies but they add up in cost and make too much noise.

its a guy flipping the bird......... with both hands....... the best thing to do is to sit down with your team and make your own list. Go over it several times and practice them. If your planning on going to any Woodsball Tournys(which there arent very many) I suggest alot of practicing those, they come in handy. Or if you can get ahold of any Military, they should know the official if there Recon or something. I know a couple. Solid fist straight up means stop, pointing 2 fingers at your eyes then pointing in a direction means to watch that area, holdiung a number up then pointing in a direction means that number move in that direction(example 2 fingers point south, means 2 people go south,) and other than that, your on your own. Sorry I cant help more, just run a few searches on google or something and try to get in touch with someone whos either done Recon or SEAL work or has trained for it.

Hand Signals can only be applied if all yer team mates are in total view of each other, but when yer seperated, you wont be able to see one another on what will he or you and yer team mates will be doing next (which is common is woodsball)....so I suggest you guys invest in gettin some radios, which is the best way to communicate wit each other and not give away you and yer team mates locations, also wit using radios you will know which one of yer team mates have located the "objective" and where the oppsoing team is located and how many there are and how many are left on yer team as well as the game progresses.

fist=stop
waving=come up
finger in sertain direction=go that way
point down=get down
ATTACK=lets take some time to guess now

Those are fine, but like I said....you can use those when yer in total view of each other, but when yer seperated and handsignals can no longer be used....radios is an important asset, jus ask any SWAT and Special Forces member and they'll tell you the same.

hey, new here, first post. Might be of some help here.

I used to work for the police training dept here in springfield, mo. I only helped train srt ( our version of swat ) once but I did pick up on a couple signals that I use in scenario play. If you see a suspect you get your teammates attention and make a signal like your reaching to shake a hand in their direction, only with your fingers spread apart. And then for behind cover we would extend our arm straight out with our fingers straight out, then drop your hand so your fingers are pointing to the floor. Hope this helps.

not necessarily, if you have one of yor team mates in view you can use the signals. plus with mics, yes there good, but the talking could give your position away faster than a quick hand signal. Like I said, just make some up and go over them with your friends untill you can get your mics if you want them. Anyone can play with mics, but it takes true skill and shows professionalism to just use signals.
