I have an idea for exploding paint grenades that wouldn't need explosives. You could take the tubing from a squadbuster or buy it at the store, fill it with paint and seal it. Then you could take something that bubbles when it mixes with water (like baking soda, but I'm not sure it would bubble, I haven't tried yet). Then it would would make the tubeing expand and then explode. Do you guys have any ideas of anything that would bubble? ------------- pain only hurts for a minute |

Paint and vinager bubble just to let you know. That can be dangerous though because that tubing is thick, and shards can fly at people and cause injury or be fatal.(I sound like a warning ad) Many(Almost all) have ban exploding grenades because they are unsafe. ------------- You call the Eagle, Eagle does the rest. |

how would mix it on the field. the paint would shoot out. then if you did it befor hand it would blow up on you. ------------- You can go far with a smile. You can go a lot farther with a smile and a gun.

Back in 95-96, I used to play at American Canyon Paintball, and they used to sell paintgrenades that exploded. I believe they were constructed with a small explosive (like a ladyfinger sized firecracker) surrounded by a plastic bag full of thick yellow paint (thicker than elmers glue). everything was encased in a cardboard tube not much thicker (in the walls) than a toilet paper roll. A pull cord was on one end, and pulling the cord lit the fuse. You waited a second and then tossed it. When it detonated, it basically overpressured the bag, and the cardboard tube and sent gobs of paint in a nearly uniform direction. No fragments of any solid that I can remember as the cardboard just kinda unrolled. More importantly, is that it banged when it detonated (about the same noise as a ladyfinger) so, everyone knew it had gone off and, your opponent felt the gobs of paint hit. It was also too thick to wipe. My uncle made a landmine that had paintballs in it and a kinda detinator button that when hit a spark would trigger something in it and release cold pressured air and send the paint flying in all directions. I've been messing with some potassium nitrate based paint grenades. | Sodium and a water based paint would work too, but I think that that is a good way to seriously injure yourself. Besides, people look for a reason to sue anymore. I would be careful trying anything like that. |

use potassium and water
makes one hell of an explosion but doubt it would be field legal take like a rubber glove or sandwitch bag and fill it with vinegar based paint or colored baking soda if you use baking soda: when it is about 70% full, put a small pouch of vinegar in. when you get ready to throw it, puncture the small bag, wait about 1 min (do this before the game starts) then throw if using vinegar: concentrate the paint. when about 40% full, put a plastic separator (find something that takes a week for vinegar to dissolve) then put the baking soda in. at game, shake and throw or you could use a thin, bottle and do the vinegar way but put a small bag in the top filled with baking soda but fill with more vinegar than baking soda (2 parts bs: 3 parts vinegar ------------- ~~~~Shocker '03 Ultimate~~~~ Vision Egg 68/45 Max-flo Tank Tippmann 98 Custom ~No upgrades |

Try this, Sucka Feesh! take a vinal tube (home depot) put paint fill dry ice and water. seal, shake, throw, boom. the dry ice sublimates so no shards. there is a big cloud of paint though. -------------

It wouldn't explode. The tubing would just burst. How is someone going to get hurt from rubber tubing bursting? I've tested it, shards of tubing don't fly everywhere. Its only like 1 or 2 peices and they don't even fly in the air. And besides, your supposed to have goggles on right, so even if some tubing did fly at you, it wouldn't hurt you. Also, you could clamp it in the the middle or something and then fill one side with paint and one side with vinigar and then take off the clampand they would mix. That way you wouldn't have to mix it on the feild. ------------- pain only hurts for a minute |
