i got a 98c and i was gonna upgrade it with ebolt, LP, ect. but then i talked to a few people and i agree with wat they are sayin. by the time i get done with my 98, i couldve bought a shocker. im lookin at a shocker with a vision right off da bat. im wonderin about these questions and preferably by shocker owners.so basically i dont want no dissin in here unless its constructive. like a bad feature of the gun. not "it sucks"

Well, you gotta take good care of them. If ya don't keep lubed up, they
can blow o-rings inside, which is a pain when ya don't have any extras
that are the right size. If you take care of it, it will take good care
of you. Good idea going with vision right away, if ya do chop, the shell usually ends up blocking the bolt from moving all the way and it won't cycle/fire at all. Mine totally rips, I've hit 20 bps with the Dynasty board, but there is bounce then. Still, with the stock board they easily do 15+. Any of the bolt kits for it will double your efficency, stock it's a real gas hog, about 800 off a 68/4500. It's kind of a rip off, if your gonna pay that much for a gun it should come stock with the HE bolt. You should definantly get a Halo for this gun, so you can let it go to it's full potential. Great thing about the Shocker's are their size. They're so little, once you're used to it, anything else just feels huge. One real downside is that you get a lot of people on the anti-SP bandwagon who will dis your gun simply because it's made by SP. They'll say "shockers suck", when they have no real knowledge. Ask them why, and they'll tell you, "they suck, they always break", which is just not true. That's the only thing you have to get used to, annoying people. Otherwise they're great guns, when it's ripping, there's honestly no other gun I'd rather have. I traded mine for a Timmy, and it was just better then the Timmy, and I got it back. The HE bolt is the Smart Parts High Efficency bolt, aka Turbocharger
(but that sounds dimb). And yes, they Dynasty board goes in the grip
frame, it's a whole new board with different settings, including
debounce. It costs $130.

The Shocker is definantly electric. The Dynasty board has all sorts of
nifty stuff on it the stock board doesn't such as Debounce,
Anti-Mechinical Bounce, Anti-Bolt Stick, Forced shot, Back Pulse, dwell
boost after 10 seconds, and some other crap. The biggest thing most
people get it for is the debounce. If ya can't shoot fast enough, get a
board that can do it for you.

That's because the obviously doesn't know the correct way to make a
link, and failed miserably trying at it. And yes, I have a Halo, notice
the pic in my sig with it on my gun. There's not many boards right now,
Dynasty, the new 04 vision boards that ramp, that's about it for drop
ins. You can pay $350 and get a WAS board, and soon Freeflow is
releasing the Anderson board.

Honestly I don't care what was in your first post. In my own experience I've seen way to many shockers go down at my local field. I've talked with field owners that used a shocker he had to learn the thing inside an out to get it to work. Many people at my local field sold there shockers and when Free style. For that kind of price it should have way better efficicency, I belive the Free Style now comes with the HE bolt kit (The shocker does not) so it will have better efficiency, it's tiny,super easy to rip one. -Mike ------------- Cp critical Bob Long Lengens painball park Team Rendition |

I quote myself....The Man is a perfect example. Search some of his posts, every time there's a Shocker thread he goes in and bashes it. Truth is, they really aren't that bad of guns. I played with mine last night in about 30 degress, and without vision on, and didn't chop a ball or have any problems. Just keep em lubed, and they're gonna run fine. OK I'm not bashing just telling him my experience with them ounce you
learn how they work and stuff they work really well most people don't
have the time or patience to do that. For that price I would not get a
shocker the free style is just as good and comes with the HE bolt stock
unlike the shocker, free ASA, IMO the free style is just a better

IDK about everyone else around here but before I drop a G+ into a gun I
wanna at least hold it, I mean a lot of it is just player preference
some people use dm4s for back up just because their primary marker
feels better to them. So if you can get a real good proshop
somewhere around and hold them to see which one feels better. NOTE: The freestyle will not feel good because of the small reg but that can be switched out. -------------

i see now jeep. and thats a good idea PROCARBINE, but i live in south dakota. so not likely that im gonna find a shop with one. the closest ive seen to a shocker is a impulse. but i saw a guy with a shocker at the field i go to so maybe ill ask him. just so you know i only have about 40 dollers, so ill be workin all summer and savin all my christmas and burfday money for this. i hope to get it like july august. im just tryin to find a good speedball gun that will be a good one that will last and that can Rip. i wanna start a team. ------------- CHECK IT OUT!!
