Yeah hades, I heard microsoft put a thing in where you can just screw a
mod chip in instead of soldering it. I also heard a lot of mod chips
don't void their warentee....

Only problem with moding your box is xbox live! your not alowd to use moded boxes with it people gettin band from live for it all over some IGN forums most people who mod their box have 2 of them 1 for live and 1 which is like their project kinda like what some people here do with their guns -------------

There's actually a rumor that microsoft will market mod chips...I imagine they wont be the ones that allow pirating but yeah....

that dosnt make sence why microsoft would allow mod chips. kinda just screwing them selves out of busniess. and microsoft regrets puting a hd and network adapter in there console. cuz they cost almost 2x the amount to make but sell for the same price and theres more ps2's sold then xbox. so the moral of the story, xbox would have made more money if they didnt put that stuff in. what im getting at is, when xbox 2 and ps3 come out, niether are going to have a hard drive installed and probably not a network adapter. ------------- <1 meg sig = bad> |

I heard they are coming out with four Xboxs. I personally hope they don't make anymore xboxs so they don't just start making games for the new xboxes.... -------------

Where do you find your info or do you just make it up? It is a well know fact that that Microsoft loses money ever time they sell a console, that is why they charge such high prices for all the video games and accessories. One of the few reasons that the Xbox is better in my opinion is because of the HD and the network adaptor. You dont think Microsoft knows this? -------------

PS2 has GTA: San Andreas. It automatically owns all...
I don't know why everybody likes X-box. Halo 2 is cool, but those types of games are meant for the computer... -------------

You do know xbox will be getting gta san andreas right? no set date but just like gta3 and vice city san andreas will soon be available for xbox aswell there goes your reason why ps2 is better then the xbox -------------

Now to retort to a few comments: "PS2 online is free, Xbox is not, therefore Xbox live is stupid (duh huh duh duh)" Before the PStwo came out, ps2 owners where forced to buy network adapters which cost $40. Quite frankly, i would rather be paying people to take care of the Live servers and support and to make updates to the system rather than pay money for more hardware which should have been included in the first place. "GTA3 is the only slow loading game on the PS2" How could any ps2 owner (i myself own one) say that? thats just ludicrous. Ps2 can only store half as much disc data as the xbox. the only people who say that are the ones who are ignorant and have never played an xbox game. oh yeah i just got the specs on the Xbox 2: 3 (three)(III) Mac G5 based processors with possibly 512mb of RAM blah blah blah its going to be frickin awesome. I just want to see if Sony can reach into their hat and pull out something better than that (i dont have brand loyalty, i just buy whats better). |

Wierd thing is that to play online PS2 owners are forced to buy a 30$ network adaptor, and if they want more maps and that sort of thing 100 more for the harddrive. Soo..you would pay 200 to play Xbox online (150 xbox, 50 1 year subscripton, plus most games like H2 come with 2 month free cards) And 150 for a ps2, 30 more for a network adaptor, and for it to be halfway decent you have to pay 100 more dollars to get the harddrive they released. Plus by paying yearly Microsoft can have money to keep their servers up, pay for regular matience, and Xbox can have content downloaded regularly into their system. In other words the 'box pwns. |

A G5 is the newest MAC PROCESSOR. MADE BY APPLE. And if you want to really game be like me and get a PS2 AND an Xbox. Doubled with my pc, mac and N64.... ITS TEH ULTIMATE KOMBO

How bout the best system is getting off your but into the real world n playing paint ball and driving REAL cars. In all seriouseness i prefer the PS2 simply for the games available. There really is only two series i care about GTA and Grand Torismo. So it makes sense for me that the PS2 is the better choice.
