If you play with CO2 when it is really cold, then you are going to have some problems. Your CO2 was not expanding into a gas fast enough to be used by your gun properly, and from what you said, it sounds like it eventually starved your gun of CO2. CO2 sucks in cold weather. There are only 3 ways to fix your problem.

1. Put one of those pocket hand warmers in the bottom of an old sock and then pull the sock over the tank. This will warm the CO2 in the tank a little and will help keep it from freezing up.

2. Get an expansion chamber.

3. (The best solution) Get HPA or nitro.

5. A regulator.

I have an anti siphon in my tank and have almost no problems whatsoever. I also added an expansion chamber just to make sure. I think that is about as good as CO2 can get. Although a reg could help, I would think that would be too much stuff.

Whack a mole, you've got the right idea.  When your Co2 tank is filled.  It is filled with Co2 in its liquid state.  In normal climates theres any number of ways you can help the Co2 make it from its liquid state from gasus besides the provided measures your marker takes.  Liquid Co2 just like many other elements in their liquid form are suceptible to freezing.  Whack a mole was exactly right in the fact that his marker was eventually starved of Co2 and ceased to work.  Whack a mole listed most of all the solutions i know.  One more i'd like to add is remote lines also act as an expansion chamber which can help to aliviate the problem.

It is a curved tube that is inserted into the Co2 tank so theat the gun will only draw gas Co2 and not as much liquid giving you more shot consistancy and more shots per tank.

You can do it if you know what your doing, just take it to the shop, tell him to instruct you and watch while you do it for the first time, thats what I did back before I got my airsmith liencse (sp)

You have a cocker? Are you an idot? You ARE NOT supposed to use CO2 with a cocker NEVER get compressed air or n2.With a low pressure kit too.

actually some cockers mainly older style ones do accept Co2.  Most of the new modles dont accept it for the reason that they are phnuematic or phnuematic assisted markers and if liquid Co2 go into the marker it would be an absolute disaster.  You are correct that HPA or N2 is the best way to go for cockers but dont be so quick on the draw to insist that cockerkilla is an idiot and doesn't know how to use his marker.
