WHAT???? Tom Kaye the founder of AGD (Automags, Warps) is
retiering and AGD will be under new management (His vice president of
the company). This is truly a somewhat sad day as it marks the
end of an era in Paintball. HE was one of if not the LAst real
founders of the game and will now be leaveing .
I wonder what this means for AGD (Dang it i just got my MINI MAG TOO)
I think things shoul be fine as a man that has been Toms Right hand and
has seen what it took to bring the company to it sucess is now runing
the show so HOPEFULLY thing shuld go along as they always have just
sort of seems sad.

Well, this truly ends the first "era" of paintball. Lots of things changing:
-WGP starts hitting low end markets, practically backs out of the professional field (1 gun left there)
-AKA is gone
-Supposedly Glenn Palmer is leaving/left(not sure)
-Tippmann now controlled by huge company; my bet says it's shifting to more money-making ventures than its current low end line
-Tom Kaye ends his paintball career
-Odyssey (the maker of the Halo B and Halo TSA loaders) is on the brink of bankruptcy, the end of which could bring some serious high bidding on those loaders' patents.
-Smart Parts is sueing everyone for all their worth(not sure the current level this is at, last thing I heard was the WDP case many moons ago)
Basically, I see a huge change in market strategy that's saying "Big companies rule, little guys, leave". This could get ugly...

no, its not, Tom Kaye was a rock on which paintball climbed, tippmann just got bought, Tom is retiring, he's the man who introduced HPA, first use of electronic frame, did so much for the sport.

and ripdrives, regulators (i think) at least first one to come built in a gun, blow forward, power feed body's, made the first non lethal marker for the military training and only one, only one of 3 serviving companys from the 1980's, first all stainless body for a paintball marker, SLUGGO first body made for the player to mill it from scratch, the y and z grips, first reactive trigger system, first constant air system for 12 gram co2, twist lock barrel.
