I got bored the other day and so my friend and I stuffed a cotton ball down the barrel of his gun, then put a bunch of .40 cal. paintballs down and packed in another cotton ball, with a normal paintball loaded behind the first cotton ball. (I'm not sure why but we thought we should have a normal paintball in their). It was pretty cool, we coverd an area of like 3 or 4 feet from about 40 feet away. Now we want to make ready use rounds to load in our gun and shoot. We've already made a few with a construction paper casing. Didn't work as good as the first attempt. Any one got a suggestion that might work better?????? ------------- You can go far with a smile. You can go a lot farther with a smile and a gun.

Try cardboard from soda boxes, apply a very small amount of scotch tape
to the cotton on the front. Remove the cotton of the back and
replace with a cardboard cut out. For storage look for those
M&M minis containers if they still exist, that or make your own
containers and make a bandolier. Myself and a few friends did it
a few years ago. Good for when you are bored, not so good in a
real game.

Something kind of like a shotgun shell, eh? Hmm.... Sounds fun. Might not be the most practical thing out there like as said above, but still, might have some potential. ------------- It is the strong that make the weak. |

| well the best thing i can think of is a breach loaded system much like the smg60 that will get rid of any bolt problems. than you just load up a clip that has prelaoded rounds. however this means the g whole gun will be warped an therefore will only be good for those sort of shots. however since there is no need for a long barrel as you want a wider shot radius. so you can make ashort barreled gun with 12 grams as the power as you only need a few shots. so it will be more of a side arm |

I know for bazookas a good packing wad is the
bottom two halves of styrofoam(sp?) cups stuck together with the munitions on the front side. Take paintball marker (loaded, gased, cocked) That would be what I'd recomend. Anything the size of a paintball barrel (.68") is wayyyy too small for you to fit a sabot in. If you want to try and make a sabot of Styrofoam cups and stuff, you'd need to build an air cannon... PM me if you need some advice where to get parts for the air cannon. -------------

i think it would be cool if someone made like a break action marker like a double barrel or over/under shotgun. Just one barrel that can break open and you might be able to fit 20 guage shot shells in the barrel. Just take the spent primer out so the co2 will be able to get through. Stick some small paintballs in the shell and a cotton ball in front and wala... -------------

Even easier; have the front of the shell covered in flimsy tissue paper, or something. Easily penetrated by the CO2 blast on firing, or the paint bellets themselves. That way you can handle it, and the pellets won't fall out, but a small hole in the rear of the shell would allow the CO2 to enter and shoot the paint pellets out. why rig a shotgun just unscrew your barrel and to load stick in a cotton ball, push in about 1"(maybe even less), pour in 6mm paintballs, put in another cotton ball, make sure it doesnt get in the way of the threads, screw back in, fire ------------- signature |

Ok,
make a cartridge that will fit into the barrel out of some carboard
from a 12pk coke box. it should be a cylinder with only one
opening on the endwith a pair of scissors or a knife or
something, cut down both sides of the cartrdge all the way to the back.
get a pice of lthicker cardboard and wrap it around the outside of the
cartridge. attach a cotton ball to the bottom of the cartride and
put one in the open end(after filling with paintballs). When you
are ready to shoot one, just slide down the end of the barrel
(the thick piece of cardboard should not fit down the barrel but slide
off when you put the cartridge in.) if you need to use a stick or
somethin to get it all the way in do so. aim an shoot.
because of the slits in the cartridge, once it leaves the barrel it
should split open and fall to the ground the cotton ball should fall
shortly after and the balls willl keep on going. just a thought,

hmmm...mabye take the metal end off of a 12 guage shell (after being fired of course) and then like...sealing the back end somehow...mabye with another type of plastic...or mabye another cotton ball? then like stuff your paint inside it and then seal it back off...then go buy a dowl rod (wooden stick) and use it as a ram rod, like an old muzzle loader...(if you dont want to go through the work of making it a breach loader)but first...will a 12g shell fit in a .68 cal barrel? come to think about it...no...try mabye like a smaller shotgun shell...or hey try this...get a procarbine and then modifly it with a little swing arm on the barrel, remove the barrel threads or just set the barrel up further...and then add a clip to the top of the barrel, so basicly its now a breach loader...for the shots use mabye...take a piece of paper and rool it around a normal .68 cal paintball...then leave the large ball in and add in the smaller ones...then fold up the top of the piece of paper...mabye the whole shot fully done could be like...3 inches long? or so...then make sure that your paper is wraped tightley so that nothing comes lose...the papers going to be a small amount wider then the barrel so it will fir snug because the .68 cal ball will just compress down, but shouldnt break...so you will have a snug fit...then once its fired...i guess the front would open from all the force and then you have a bunch of little paintballs flying including one normal one...this also means you can take off your hopper asembly off the gun...sincce its now a shotgun...lol... edit: why do you tell people to use the search button when if they do...and bring back an old topic because they might have some imput on it that could help people out or they didnt understand something about it and want to further the conversation on it so they might understand it better you flame them and stuff? whats the point? then if they make a new topic about the same thing...you flame them and tell them to use the search button...make up your minds please... |
