Hey, I was wondering if the Dye Boomstick, 14 or 16 inch, would be good for a woodsball, for my A-5 .  I read some great reviews for it so i was wondering...

I have a 16 inch and love it. But you should get a 14 inch.

Because that is the best length to get a barrel in.

Anything over 12 will get you nothing noticably better, only worsen things.  Such as your effincy on air.

And boomstick, ive used one before and i just dont like them.  It wasnt anymore accurate than my stock angel, and it was heavy.  Dont get me wrong, they arent bad i just prefer stiffis.

The only reason to go over 14 inches it to have some extra barrel length to push in the bunkers. A 14 inch will shoot just as well, if not better than a 16 inch, and it will use less gas. If you don't care about length, get a 12" it performs identicly to a 14", but less barrel sticking out.

How is a longer barrel going to put out more gas? Your gun doesn't adjust it's gas ouput due to the length of the barrel. I **edited**ing hate that myth.

You need more air/c02 to propell the ball just as hard/far out of the barrel of a 16" compared to a 12".

That's true, but you don't have to adjust the velocity if you don't want to.

what about selling my A-5 with stock and a teardrop online and getting a spyder electra or something along those lines? Would that result of a faster  and more accurate gun and use less air than my A-5? I'm not sure.
