I picked this thing up as a back up off of PBNation. The deal seemed
pretty dang good, so I couldn't let it pass. Gun was owned by a member
of Tippmann Effect, all the crap was put on it by them, and it shows,
cuz it's ugly as hell . Oh well, it's
stayin that way too. It had a sweet "Tippmann Effect board" which was
the stock one reprogrammed to be capped at 17, but I snapped the wires,
sent it to Tippmann, and they sent it back with a new board . Oh well. Here she is...

It's got...
GTA E-Bolt
LP kit
Tippmann reg
Rufus Vert feed
Dye grips
polished internals
double trigger
decent trigger job, still a little long though
and of course I cut her in half

i think it looks sweet y did u cut the wires? or cut it in half

The crack is where I cut it in half, so to clean the bolt if it chops I
don't have to take the bac half off, and risk snapping the E-Bolt
wires, like I did already to it once.

Nope, I ain't supporting you selling the gun...the teams already short
on people that can actually play. Looks like it's gonna be all about
the 3 man tournys come spring...

Cool gun. Nice deal too. Sucks about the board and all, but I like your fix to take off just the front half. I'm seriously almost crying about that board...that really sucks. Does WAS make E-98 boards? If they do...that would be wicked cool.
|
Posted By: jeep 98 custom

Nah, WAS don't make anything for them, and probably never will. The
board thing does suck, but I on;y shot it a little just dry firing, so
I'm not missing much.

Sent the reprogramed board to tippmann heck you should have sent it to me I would have gave you a brand new stock e-bolt board.
I would have fixed the TE board and used it my self lol.
Nice gun though.
Looks like your cut is wide, I don't want any sand or paint (getting shot) or even water to get into it.

Nice gun, I got to shoot it when it still had the effect board in it and it was
faster than the normal E-bolt. and like he said it is ugly as hell, but it
needs to stay ghetto. can't wait to get my ebolt back from tippmann

The guy taking the pic never told us he was taking it. We lined up for it, then he said it was done. So we didn't know when it was being taken. Looks a bit more realistic that way anyhow.

I'm the one that cut it most of the way in half, and then jeep snapped
it the rest of the way over his knee. that is the third left 98 half I
have seen him break over his knee

pupz: they replaced the entire E-Bolt, they have no clue the board was anything special
bravecoward: I don't think so, I think it's something special either for or done by Tippmann Effect.

If you don't like the trigger you can get a Promark blade trigger...it's also a two finger trigger and it's metal and has almost no side slop.
I bet the gat is real sweet to shoot and you surprise people with a 98 C shooting strings like that.

ok NN's gun can shoot way over 20bps depending on what hopper he has, he has a murlock board, and a custom made ram, its the fastest shooting 98c heres a link:

kissXtheXbarrel: Haha, the 2 things you like are the 2 things I think look the worst.
Pupz: The whole E-Bolt is new, board, ram, LPR, everything. So I'll
never know if the ram was any different, but from the looks of it it
didn't look any different than a normal ram.
Mike: I seriously suggest a 98 over an A-5, it's smaller, and the E-Grip and cyclone are both crappy.
And I'm not doing anything to this gun. I'm buying a Bigshot, and
that's it. I had plans to paint it, but I decided it's just too ugly to
paint. I wanna preserve the Tippmann Effect ghettoness. The only thing
that MIGHT change is the Tippmann reg for a Gladiator, depending on how
crappy the Tippy reg is. But it'll have to be real crappy for me to
care enough. Fact is, it's a backup gun incase I or a teammate has gun
trouble at a tourny, and it's my winter gun cuz the Shocker will
probably eat O-rings in 10 degree playing temperature, and slaughte
paint at 20 bps, and I ain't gonna deal with it.

How cold are you playing in? I'm playing in 20 degrees at most, I'd think
that would lead to lot of paint raping.
