Ok, I will explain to you some of the finer points of selecting a barrel.
1 If you do not own a very high end gun or completely tricked out tippmann, you do not need a kit. They cost too much for a rec player. True, they help accuracy by providing different bore sizes for different paint, but they are not for a beginner. 2 Some say the Dye boomstick is more accurate than the ultralite, but in my experience it isnt. You pay an extra 50 bucks for the name and the fact it is 2 peice. 3 Price does not mean everthing. The J&J ceramic is very cheap, yet is the barrel I use most for my tippmann. Sure kits are a bit more accurate but they also cost almost 6 times as much. In conclusion, If you are a beginner I reccomend the J&J, Ultralite, or the Big Shot. If you play in tournaments, and have the cash, get the pipe. If you dont have the cash, go for the ultralite. -------------

with an A-5 and not new to the sport I would recomend the Ultralite. I like it alot. That or the J&J. Mine has NEVER failed me. J&J vs. Ultralite is just how much you are willing to spend. -------------
