Heres a treat for you senario players and halo 2 fans (although i can see speedballers hateing what im going to say). I have been getting ideas from thinking out of boredon and i wanted to play halo 2 but i was at school and had nothing to do because i was done with my daily exam so i thought about paintball and halo 2 and then got the idea, why dont i extract a gametype from halo 2 that isnt already a paintball game (that i know of) so i came up with bomb as being the easiest to extract.

First we need a bomb, maybe a good old digital kitchen timer and set it to "01:00" and hold off the outher team. I dont like the idea of hearing "BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!" when the bomb goes off, i want to hear "BOOOM!" - the great sound of victory! but i dont know anything as easy to use as the timer that will have a satisfactory outcome. ill come up with something.

Second we need a special place or field setup, kinda like a structure that the defending team will defend, we then need to pick a spot to place the bomb and set the timer, the defending team can disarm it by pressing the buttom that stops the time and then they can clear it to "00:00"

Third, Solid rules that are easy to follow. as you halo 2 players know, the two objectives are,

Defending team: Defend the stronghold from the assaulting team by preventing them from planting a bomb and demolishing your little base of opperations.

Assaulting team: Escort the bomb carrier to the defending teams base and plant the bomb and prevent the outher team from disarming it (obviouslt).  their secondary objective is to get out of the building before detonation, this is optional but everyone inside during demolition would be called out. (because people that are inside a building when it blows up dont normally survive)

i have modified the rules alittle because i didnt like the fact that the bomb carrier couldnt just put the bomb in a pouch or backpack, because he couldnt shoot with the bomb, the bomb carrier was useless (but he could punch and you cant do that in paintball). the outher thing i didnt like was when the bomb blew, those in the building died.

I know im going to get bad feedback from this but i was thinking for a senario game, which is basically training for a firefight, getting shot once shouldnt be the end of it for you. im thinking that getting shot in the hand shouldnt be an out, if someone got shot in the hand they wouldnt die right there and then. so i was thinking of numerous times of getting shot in a non vital area can equal an out so i thought of areas and the maximum number of times you can get shot there before you care concidered out, and here is what i came up with.
Head: 1

Chest: 3

Arms, Hands, Legs, & Feet: 5

the arms hands legs and feet are 5 shots per limb unless the arm & hand/leg & foot are on the same side, and if you dont know what i mean, here is an example: i got shot in the right arm 2 times and the left arm 3 times, i am still in unless i get shot in the right arm 3 more times and the left are 2 more times. If i get shot in the right arm 3 times and the right hand 3 times im out because its on the same limb. I think headshots should be 1 shot because nothing can live without a brain (inteligent or not) and the chest i just came up with a random small number.

This rule is not the gametype's rule because its optional and i rather the players decide if they want to play with this rule in effect or just the standard one shot anywhere = out.

I have also thought about haveing a medic (also optional) because i dont want to have people that are out walk off the field and wait until the game is over, i want it to have non-stop action. the medic will carry a first aid kit box (i have a metal one thats blue with a red + in the center of it) inside the box will be a rag for wipeing paint off someone thats hit. so when your out, dont walk off if you still want to play. if the medic is shot and someone can get to him they can either use the kit on the medic or take the medics role (or both).

I realize that i think to much but i rather think outside the box because thats how new things are invented, and because im ADHD.

just tell me what you think and try not to bash my thought to much.

alright, done. what about the medic idea?

i also would like to point out, those of you who are backfielders, you will love being on defence because you wont have to get closer they will come to you, and those frontfielders will like assault because they get more backup as they move up the field.

they medic ideas not all that good, cause if your trying to be relistic than you shouldn't be able to wipe away the gushing wounds in your chest maybe a time penalty would be better

alright this doesnt just imply halo2, but think of this: A actually HUD like from fps(first person shooters).  I take it that everyone heard of the HUD( http://www.scenariodreams.com/hud.htm - http://www.scenariodreams.com/hud.htm )  Say, it had a digital ball counter up in the corner of the HUD.  Then say something like a targeting system, say everyone had one and thats how the system distuingshed teammates and non-teammates.  Obviously thats really high-tech, but think of this: an actually motion sensor.  Alright go ahead flame away... or you could do a thing called being nice and add things on.

i like the overall gameplan, but i'd have to say 5 hits anywhere(exception of headshots)and you're out for 3 minutes or something. but if you wanna phase away from the uber realism, then yeah medics. good idea though

I like your idea but i would take it one step further. i woild make the bomb an acutal paint bomb. i wold make a real board that you could disarm if you had time. if you make a rong move or you dont make it in time SPLAT fill everywere. thisway you have to get to the bomb and disarm it while under fire. I would teach one or two team members on each side how to disarm the bomb and thats it. if they die you have to wing it. the bomb would be touch sensitive and very complicated filled with trap wired that if they are cut you go boom.

That would kick but and as the teams get better i would build more and more complicated bombs.

id give them about 1 min to disarm it and there would be a porsegure to arm it as well somwthing with 2 keys that have to be turned simaltaniously or something. pluss a 30 second smoke grenade would go off so at the 30 second mark it suddonly becomes harder to see

lol talk about running with an idea...

I like the idea, but heres a couple of edits/changes

1) 1 head 1 torso and 3-5 total extreamities

2) Medic, predetermined player. special arm-band, and for the first-aid kit, have black arm bands in there to mark a already help person. time delay is a good idea too

I that the medic thing would be cool but a lot of people would have to be relying on the honor system. The multiple hits thing also acool idea. but once again a lotta room for BSers. The scenareo I give it an 11 outta 10. It really has the potential to be a sweet game but remember to KISS.

the multi hit idea is just asking for trouble trust me, will turn into a lot of cheating.

Instead I would make a designated medic of some sort.

are u some sort of terrorist?a goverment bomb maker? im just wondering since i dout your going to find directions for making that bomb mecanism online maybe a bomb but not booby traps and key mecinisms

No im a fabricator with allot of diffrent skills it wouldent be all that hard. im not making anything that will challange a bomb squad here just something that would take a little time to defuse.

anyway i have made some prity serious stuff in my day this would be simple but time consuming. i may make one and markit them to senario companies.

I love your idea, but i have some things to add to it.

Designated medic, no gun, run on escort and stealth. The medic may only be on the side with the bomb. The medic must take the wounded man back to a base, wipe off the paint, and put an armband on him (some cheating room but completely unintentional)

One hit, they're dead on the defending team (this increases pressure because they have 1 minute to difuse the bomb, or keep the bomb out of the base)

If the bomb carrier (no gun) is shot, he must drop the bomb inside 5 feet of him (yes, even backwards) the defending team may pick up the bomb because it has to be inside the defending base to be defused. the bomb may just be a kitchen timer but have a "house squad" that kills everyone within the area. just my 2 cents

if the medic is shot, he is permanently out

i like the medic idea but like if they get healed then shot again there out and you would need some way of knowing if theyd been healed before like idk somethin. the basic scenario is really cool you just gotta fine tune the rules alittle
