i have a 98 custom and i bought a double trigger for it but im confused as to how i install it. the instructions on this site say remove parts until the left half of the reciever is off. well i may sound like an idiot, but what the hell is the reciever? i figured maybe the left handle or the whole left half of the gun. i dont want to touch it til i kno what im doing, so can someone give me step by step instructions?

You should be able to take the two halfs apart and half the right receiver half on the ground/table and should be able to use your diagram from Tippmann and just lift the old trigger out and put the new one in. You should be able to tell by looking at the diagra to see where the pins and springs go.

yeah, if im not mistakin, the trigger is connected to the reciever, so when you split the recievers into the trigger should be split also. im not sure and i may be wrong because i dont own a 98c.

it basicly means the left half of the trigger grip

you take the screws of of the grip frame and its should be able to split into two halfs, then you just simply take the old trigger off and put the new one in

A-5 command is wrong, in the 98c, you have to take the whole gun apart

after you have the gun apart, set the right half down, and just remove the trigger and trigger spring, and put the new trigger back in, and then put the spring in, easy as pie (refer back to your gun manual if you have any trouble putting it back together ) while you are in there you might wana do the pen spring mod too...

"

so you want to lighten your trigger?

  1. pen spring mod (go find a clicky pen, and take the spring out of it and cut it so that it is the same sizes as the stock: if the trigger does not feel lighter then stretch out the spring and cut it to the same size as the stock again. if you start to have double fire problems (shooting more then once on one pull) then the spring is too light< try again but try to do what you did before but lighter (i.e. not stretching it as long, cuting less links, different springs (brass, aluinum, steel) " -evil 98
