I have come to my last two choices in barrels. Lapco Bigshot and J&J Ceramic. I do NOT care about the price between the two, just the quality. Im willing to spend a few more bucks for something I will be using for quite sometime. Its only $10.00 apart. So what'l it be? Lapco or J&J?

lapco bigshot, i think the self-cleaning aspect of the J&J Ceramic is wayyyy over-rated! so spend the extra $10 and get the more accurate barrel; the bigshot

the bigshot is slightly more accurate, and the J&J does self clean if its just the right size paint, but it swerves so much rather than breaking more which is just as bad. id say the bigshot.

Hard to concentrate, getting mesmorised by your sig.....

Anyway, im not all that lazy, and I know how to clean a barrel. The "Self-Cleaning" thing dosn't interest me.

Which barrel works better with paintballs that are not all that great? I also spend my money on things besides paintball. Not very willing to spend it all on paint.

Go with the bigshot. It shoots all kinds of paint great, and balls very rarely break in the barrel. I reccomend a 8 in for speedball at courses that dont have inflatable bunkers.

The people that are saying the Bigshot is accurate, are right, but the J&J ceramic barrel is more quieter than the Bigshot... trust me on this one, ive shot both.... So if you dont like loud barrels go with the J&J ceramic.

Bigshot is better in my opinion, also if you search this it has been asked like 600 times.

Self cleaning pfft, every barrel i've ever used has been able to shoot itself clean.

Anyway after using both the J&J and the Bigshot I have to say I would go with the Bigshot.

One more factor, I play Woodsball and large realistic Urban areas pretty much only. Once every long while I play speedball.

I came down to choosing between the same 2 barrels and went with the Bigshot. Been very happy with it so far. It's not as loud as some ppl would have you think. My nephew has a J&J and it sounds like he is out of paint when he fires, the thing is so quiet. It can be confusing... "Is he reloading or does he still have ammo?". They both seem to be very accurate. I went with the Biggie just because most reviews said it was a little more accurate. Either way I think you'll be fine. Get the bead blasted if you go BS. It macthes the A-5 colors better. (Although it's about $5 more.)  Good Luck.

I have the bigshot it works fine for me. A lot better the the stock and a little quieter then the stock barrel too. but as far as the J&J being quieter, I couldn't say. you have to ask your self which is more important to you precicion and accuracy or being harder to detect. Being an Urban player this can be a tough choice. but now you know more.
