i went to model98.net and did some of the stuff they said to make a lighter trigger pull. i took out the trigger spring but the double trigger isnt coming back fast enough for me to get over 8 bps. any ideas. i was thinkin bout a trigger stop but when i was pulling my trigger, i have to pull it all the way back for the bolt to go forward so that probably wouldn't work. i also dont want to spend money on the reactive trigger or e-bolt if possible. but if i must i will. thanks for the help

You can always do my secret trigger lightening mode. Ok you take the back pin out of your trigger and just leave the front pin in and your trigger will pivot and give you more BPS.

i heard this from someone on this forum I tried it on my A-5 and it worked.

you take your trigger out, remove the front spring, get a mechanical pencil or pen spring, cut it to the same size as the origional, and put the pen spring in.

It is amazing it gives you soo much ligher trigger pull. You will no this by using your thum and index finger to push togeher the pen spring and then try to do it with the stock spring. wich pulls lighter?

^^wow his mod doesnt give you more bps! my friend by accident lost one of his pins and so he doesnt have the back pin for his doulbe trigger. all it does is give you a greater trigger slop. once i get my co2 tanks filled i will show you all how to get the lightest trigger pull on a 98c!!! mwahahahahaha!!!!!

^ the easiest way is to find a pen, unscrew it, make sure the spring is almost the same size as the original trigger spring. put the pem one in the original ones place. its so much lighter and took me 5 minutes with my A5, it works with 98c also.  there is also a trigger mod where you put a thicker snd stronger spring in place of the original spring. what this does is create a hard trigger pull which is like a homemade r/t...just a little bit less powerful though.

^i thought the trigger pull on the rt was supposed to be lighter and easier for you to go at faster rates cus it pushes your trigger back

I did the double trigger stop for my 98c from model98.net and it worked suprisingly well.  Turn the screw 1/8 of the way at a time to just get the sear to trip and you'll get a shorter pull.  Also, if you take some of the slop out of your trigger it will make it smoother and somewhat shorter as well.  The rate of trigger return has to do with the sear spring, not your trigger spring, the sear spring is much stronger.

Try moving your fingers faster .

You said 'some' of their mods. I'd do more of them. Trigger stops would probably help as long as you allow the space for the bolt to activate.

And don't get the r/t or e-bolt solely to get speed increase if you don't want to. It's your gun. Of course, I'm not exactly biased because I'm working on Overdrive for the 98 (fast, light trigger system), but whatever.

Good luck.

yea i took a ortho band put one around the trigger by the ball where it holds the spring in but on the flat part to act like a front stop and one ortho band you have to double iton the pin that the sear rests on so it would act like a back stop and put two orthos in place for the sear spring and did the mech. trigger spring. works great oil the bands if you do it makes them last alot longer.

Front trigger stop. Since Tippmann mechs activate when the trigger is all the way back, you need to reduce the forward return. Make sure the slider plate is able to slide away from the pushed forward sear to reset before drilling holes. If you don't know what this means, study your trigger's operation before trying to mod it.
