Hey guys Ive been looking at Paintball markers for a while and I have come down to two guns and two companies and I cant decide  so I need your alls help. The first company is Tippmann and the marker is the A-5, a very good marker I know. Almost every one I know owns one or a 98c now or at some point. The other company is Ariakon (formaly armotech), and the marker is a SIM-15.

http://www.Ariakon.com - http://www.Ariakon.com Now check out the SIM-15, look at the features and help me out.

Being a marine wannaby waiting till Im 18 so I can join the corps, well you can see why the SIM-15 is a choice, along with its good features. Though a Tippmann is a good choice too, so can you guys check this out and help me choose please.

              Thanks in advance Guys

Well, I own 4 tippmann guns in total and have used the 98c and A5 for years so I know those are good. I hear different things about ariakon though. They started out selling poor quality imitations of the armotech (the original one) guns such as the WG-65 and renaming them to SIM-4, etc under armotech's name. Then, not surprisingly, the guys at armotech were very unhappy about this and took legal action. The result was the name change to ariakon. The stuff I hear about ariakon products has been mostly bad. Supposedly they look nice but they don't last and they have a lot of problems. Armotech guns are better from what I hear. I don't have any experience with ariakon guns but since I've heard so many bad things from owners, I wouldn't buy one myself nor would I recommend one to anybody else. Their stuff is pretty expensive too. I think tippmann is the better option based on what I've heard about ariakon and what I know about tippmann. You'll probably end up with a gun that lasts longer and costs less if you choose a tippmann.

Well Tippmanns are every where I look so I think I be better off with a gun that people like and that I know. For a first marker Ill probaly get a Tippmann A-5, also any ways isnt there a kit out there that has a collaspable stock and a M-4 barrel for tippmann. I know there is a Ak-47 version too.

                      Thanks man

Ariakon is NOT armotech.

I own the SIM-4, which has identical internals to the SIM-15. Its an amazing gun. No upgrades needed.

This was done by a friend of mine. He compares his stock SIM-4 verse his upped A5 and 98c, which he put many hours into. http://forum.ariakon.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=1797&PN=1 - http://forum.ariakon.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=1797&PN=1

it depends, if you are going to do scenario then the sim-15 might be a good choice, if you want to do speed ball or xball then the tippmann would work extremely better the the sim-15. in speed or x-ball the sim-15 would be wayyy too long to get around the bunkers.

You dont need a $1500 marker to be the best.
