I recently purchased a 98c and installed the snapshot barrel. Im currently running high pressure nitro with the marker. However, I am very displeased with the distance and accuracy. I've made numerous adjustments to the velocity (set @ 290-300). What type of distance and accuracy should I be expecting? ARe my expectation too high? The balls seems to dip or spin downward after 50 ft. I have to aim above my target to hit it. I also went so far to compare the lapco two piece snapshot with the stock barrel and there was very little difference. Sup wit that?  Please advise.

yeah thats about right.  The only real way to get better distance is to install a Flatline barrel.  I would say they dip closer to 75 that 50 but that sounds about right.

Welcome to the real world.

The fact is that all the hype that the manufacturers advertise about their barrel being so much more accurate that any other is just that, hype.  Simply put, most barrels will give similar performance.  Unless you have an anti-gtravity device, all objects moving through the air will drop due to gravity.

Technically the Flatline is an Anti-Gravity barrel...LOL  Lift will counteract gravity and thus give you more distance.  How well it works overall is still a question of much debate.

As has been said, you are experiancing typical results. However, what kind of paint are you shooting and what condition is it in?  Your paint will have a profound affect on accuracy as well.

50ft seems kinda short though.  you will have to account for distance like any real gun, just more than normal.  I'd say shoot again and step off the distance.
