 Following up on the success of their inexpensive yet high performance Icon-E electronic blowback paintball gun, National Paintball Supply has released a mechanical version of the same paintball gun with a name conjuring up memories of years past. Named the Icon-Z, National's newest paintball gun is priced to sell and loaded with accessories that help make it an excellent choice for any entry or mid-level paintball player. Available anodized in silver, blue and black, the Icon possesses a black aluminum grip frame similar to that on its electronic brother, the Icon-E. While the Z is not electronic, the extremely light, smooth pull of its standard double trigger will enable players to reach impressive rates of fire. A small drop forward will help players keep their tank and their arm tucked tightly into their bunker during play, and a vertical feed will drastically reduce chopped paintballs and  allow players to play right or left-handed out either side of their bunker. An included volumizer increases air efficiency and improves velocity consistency over the chronograph, while velocity adjustment is made quickly and easily via a locking adjustment knob at the rear of the receiver. Field stripping is made simple via a retaining pin at the rear of the receiver, beneath the rear cocking bolt and raised sight rail/beaver tail combination. To improve durability and safety, steel braided hose is used rather than macro line to move air from the bottle adapter to the gas-through fore grip, and accuracy is ensure thanks to a spiral ported aluminum barrel with muzzle break. basically a spyder clone. spyders are good beginner guns, but not much more than that, unless you dump lots of money into them, then they are okay.

I wonder how foolish you could be to consider that a vert feed. Standard hoppers don't fit into that hole. You either need an elbow (WILL make hopper crooked), a straight elbow (makes gun way too tall), or buy a new feed that is capable of holding a hopper so low. -------------
