Every time i go paintballing I get killed because all the rich n spoiled kids have dm4's and impulses. I stll do good n get them out once n a while. So i ordered a response trigger kit. I want to know if my gun(the 98 custom) will need an electronic hopper with the kit. without the eletronic hopper will it chop?

You're gonna need a motorized hopper for sure. If you want a good low budget one, look into a Revvy or Reloader, or if you have the cash, go all out and get a Halo, you can always move it to a better gun if you ever get a new one.

a halo is a alittle overkill. an egg would work good or even a revy

your average rt will give you around 12bps average. a revy will keep up with that as well as empire reloader, and other ones. i suggest Halo TSA like mine.

An r/t can be tuned for close to 20 cps ( http://www.warpig.com - http://www.warpig.com ) and you will need an electro hopper. An eVolution II (eggy) will do the trick for you.

*edit*

Also, don't stand and stare at the lil' rich kids when they shoot at you. Try finding cover.

Doesn't matter. Always better to have more than not enough, and like I said, you can always use it on a faster gun if you get one, instead of lessing your cheaper hopper and losing money in resale, then spending the $100 for a Halo.

i think people spend to much time thinking about what the other guy is shooting at them with. rather than instantly jumping into what the next upgrade will be, you should spend a little more time working on how to use what you have, otherwise every time you loose you will say..."well his equiptment is better" i mean even if you had the exact same gun do you think you would beat them. i mean im against spoiled little posser kids as much as the next guy, but there are other ways to beat them than increasing bps. anyways i agree with jeep about the electonic hopper, you will "dry up" you paint, if you dont get somthing to compensate for the r/t.
