ok i was playing a game of woodsball n' it was gettin pretty boring so i decided to go to sleep... note ** there is 7 acres of land**when i woke up (15 mins later somone was shooting at me ) than sumone else.... together they shot bout 1000 balls n' none hit... they were newbs so no bunker no nothing, n' they wre right next to eachother... mask was fogged so i couldn't pick 'em off.... i decied to go all superman n' i stood up they were 40 feet aaway and "slowly walkd" litterally slowly n' fired my gun real fast as i did so... several times my gun de-cocked.... now i have a lighter trigger pin, double tirgger, n' polished internals amongst other stuff... the air was just filled... so what do you think is wrong?

Note** i kno the superman dive in speedball, but i think my superman is a lil betta... n' if you must no i didn't get shot i took them both out when i was abotu 10 feet away

sometimes ( and i no this is true especially tru with spyders ) its is posible to actually out shoot your gun. When this happens the gun de cocks. Because of your light trigger pull adjustment, u might be shooting faster than ur actually supposed too. I no this is true because on new years wen i playd this kid was shooting at a bunker and testing his gun and his gun kept de cocking because he was out-shooting the sear.

you might want to bring your gun into a shop and have them check your bolt and pin.

The hammer shouldn't be able to become out shot- it should cycle at around 60 cps, and there is no way humanly possible you move your fingers that fast. It sounds like there is either a problem with the valve, or your drive spring is warped/ damaged. Do you use HPA with your Spyder? You probably just need to open the gun up and inspect all the parts.

If there were woods around, I would make a little place to sleep in with branches covering me so if they start shooting at me, the balls will break in the branches. I probably would never go to sleep during paintball though.

^wut?

anyway your gun set up said spyder pilot....so i assumed you were using a spyder pilot...

i guess the same problem is possible wit a 98 custome too, my guess is the bolt or the valve or the ligter trigger pull upgrade thing. bring your gun into a shop. that simple

Sounds like you need to set up some mines w/trip wires for nap time next time. The newer 98C's decock occasionally for no particular reason that anyone has been able to explain so far. Some say air, some say sear. There are a million theories.  Mine did it stock and w/ mods. The only thing that helped was a deburr and polish of all internals. Paying special attention to the trig. assy and halves. I also had it happen even less since I went HPA. Go figure. If I find a fix anywhere while I futz w/ other 98's I will post it.

I would suggest replacing your mods with the stock parts one by one until the problem stops. Once the problem goes away, leave the last removed upgrade out of the gun and put anything else you removed before back in. This method will help you find and remove only the part causing the problem. If the gun doesn't even work with stock parts then the problem is most likely a damaged part somewhere or, less likely but still possible, poor airflow to the valve. Also, you said you were shooting really fast which led to cycling issues which makes me wonder if you're just experiencing a shoot-down issue. What that means is that you're using gas faster than it can be provided to the valve and that leads to cycling problems since the gun relies on blow-back gas to recock. You'd have to be shooting pretty freakin fast to do that but I guess it's possible. About how fast were you shooting anyway?

I have done this plenty of times with my 98C. The problem is not outshooting the gun but outshooting the air supply. I always ran my gun lower than the normal 850PSI as I have an adjustable tank. I was able to burst up to 13BPS mechanically but most of the time when that happened the gun would start experiencing some shootdown which lead to the bolt not being able to catch the sear due to shortened travel.

What air supply are you running? What PSI are you running? Are you running a regulator?

if i were those 2 newbs, i would have crept up on you and made you surrender. anyway, wut the guys were sayin before made a lott of sense. hows your velocity? because if theres not enough co2 backpressure, it wont cock after every shot, especially while firing rapidly w/ a lightened trigger pull.you should check that out.

my only idea is to change it back to stock then shoot it if it works right then just add 1 upgrade at a time then shoot so you can figure out what is worng and maybe you need to take it back or maybe 2 upgrades can't be used togather. just an idea

oh and i hope you get it fixed good luck!

You still haven't answered my questions. Your problem could lie within them.
