Certain types of lasers can blind a person if its pointed into their eyes causing damage to the retina which could lead to being blind.
Lasers will only give away yer position and it will distract the intended target causing the person to hurt himself cus he was blinded by a bright beam of light.
But theres one type of game that lasers can be used....Law Enforcement scenarios...like SWAT.
And have you been payin attention to the news lately, a man was arrested fer pointing a laser at the cockpit of several airliners flying over his home....thats one of the reasons why lasers cant be used on a paintball marker.

use HOLOsight Holographic sight although its expansive like 200-300$ but its sweet thing : ), but it also all about your paintballs, how far they can go : )
about laser sights: works well in close range combate preferably at night but easly to spot, and paintball trajectory aint great at all compare to rifle's : ) dont waste money stick to better marker but mostly better barrel: )

Laser pointer + eye = slight discomfort and turning away.
It won't blind you, it won't burn through your retina, and your body will naturally tell you to close your eyes.
I work with lasers. The highest level laser you can get in one of those pointers is a Class 2 laser. The only lasers that require special procection as Class 3A and B and Class 4 lasers.

They only say those laser pointers are dangerous to save their own arses.

ROFL at the people who beleive the media portrayal of the alser story.
THINK for a second- are you actually telling me that you beleive that a person can actually aim a tiny handheld laser pointer accurately and steadily enough to shine it in the cockpit of an aircraft in flight, hit a target an inch across, and keep it there? Moreover, there is no technology available that will elt them pinpoint the origin of such a laser beam. The guy in the story had a tiny laser pointer- the same thing you can buy out of the back of a popular science magazine. They arne't nearly powerful enough to be noticeable at any safe altitude for a plane to fly at. Can you yourself shine one of those lasers that steadily? I know when I shine one a hundred feet across the street it jitters around a few inches.
Furthermore, consider geometry. From the ground, how is he supposed to shine a laser at a plan, and hit anything but the bottom of it?
The only possibility here that wouldn't mean the newsies are full of **edited** is that the plane was landing, and the guy was in an upper story of a building, but neither was mentioned to be the case. He was said to be in a residential neighborhood.
Maybe the guy was actually Evil Kinevil, and was riding on the nose of the plane.
I've gotten those laser pointers in my eyes. It's a minor annoyance for the second it takes you to blink and turn your head. On the other hand, the dot is quite visible, particularly in a darker environement like the woods. A laser mounted on something like a SIM series marker, or anything with a good mounting rail, could actually be a pretty useful addition if your local field allows it. Don't go sticking one on your cocker, but if you play woods or scenario at all, it's not a bad investment. I intend to eventually pick one up.

just use a red dot sight( even though all sights r useless)

if u need a red dot sight to shoot something acurately at 100feet then u
need more than a red dot sight,,,,,, the only visual aid i would buy is a
super powerful scope as a replacement for binoculars, cuz its anoying
getting them out of ur pocket all the time. for surveilance purposes only,
not as a sniper.

Mm hm. Except that the laser light will be largely refracted by the curvature of the goggle lenses.
Blackbetty, shooting a stream of paint and just watching it, a là tracer rounds, works, but with the problem that you're slining out more paint than you need. Sight yourself in with a red dot sight, and/or set up a laser sight so it's zeroed at 50 feet or so (and learn where to aim it up at farther range) and you should be getting first or second shot eliminations as long as you have a good barrel and paint to barrel match. A sight rail works too, but lasers are cooler. ;)

Lasers just Look cool on scenario paintball guns, but unless you can shoot a paintball further than 180 feet (even with flatline barrel)-and actually see (in the woods mind you) the targer from that far,not to mention the little red dot- they are useless.

Lasers on paintball guns is not a good idea.......its a waste. Paintball guns are not accurate enough to use a sight so it would be worthless.

Ace, you've clearly never used a paintball gun with sights. I assure you that if you can shoot a reasonably sized group at any given distance, you can effectively use sights- be they iron sights, a red dot, a laser dot, or a magnifying sight of some kind. I'd recommend red-dot sights, personally.
With markers with stocks, looking through the sights can be tought unless they're raised several inches. Low profile masks like the Profiler are a big help too.
