Okay i've come to an ultimate decision... Should i get a flatline barrel is it really worth it? I play woodsball and I'm a back player in speed ball so i was wondering is the flatline accurate like my tippmann sniper barrel its really important to me that ppl who are anti-tippmann and anti-flatline dont reply unless u actually have used one.

I think it's good for both speed ball and woods ball.  You might want to get a regulater though if ur shooting from long range.  I have a palmer stabilizer and a flatline.  I was shooting at a target at about 75ft. away(or maybe a little more).  My grouping spread of 20 paintballs shot at about 260-290fps was like 9"x10".  I shot 3 paintballs in a row all with in 4 inches of each other. I was satisfied with the results. It took me a while to get the palmer adjust right though.

Flatline is great for woodsball and if you are a back player in speedball and you don't run a lot, it should be good to but i personally wouldn't play speed with a flatline.

i wouldnt play speedball with it because it is not easy to clean on the field, once you chop you can NOT fire through it and keep accuracy you have to really stop and clean it out, so its a nono for speedball, it does however work well in recball.

You really don't have to worry really about balls breaking in an a-5. I was messing around and used over a year and half old, already opened, brass eagle paintballs.  There was like 30 of them i fired and none of them broke.

my flatline mehhh. its okay. the range it shoots is great but at the range it shoots, the ball became less accurite and even if they  do hit the person, they might not break

The flatline was designed to put a backspin on the paintball thus making it go alot farther. I have one and its awesome never would give it up for any other barrel for my a-5. I wouldnt recommend it for speedball.

YES... GET THE FLATLINE...

Ignore people who say it is bad. . They didn't install it right.

If installed properly, it is worth its weight in gold!

I used to have one and was a speedball player.  I got made fun off at the field all the time.  Even the refs were sayin stuff bout it to each other cause i heard em before a game.  If you don't mind that it's great.  I switched to a boomstick cause people would always say I was cheating when I hit them cause normal barrels cant shoot that far.  I switched so when i hit them they wouldnt have an excuse.(Wouldnt really know for woodsball, not my thing, not that i have anything against it, just not my thing)

No they suck if you dont have the right paint, paint will be all over and then you will have to give up in the middle of the game

This post was perfect.  I was about to ask the exact same question and I am tired of people that don't have flatlines posting negative issues about them.

From what I understand, Flatlines are for woodsball not really for speedball, and you have to use the right paint.  Perfect, I only play woodsball.  I can't wait to get mine!  Just ordered it as a matter of fact!

you will love the flatline for woods ball. the only time a flatline will break a ball would be if you are playing in cold enought weather that the balls will become real brittle and at high rates of fire will break. other than that one game that we played in 10 below i never broke any paint in my flatline. I have emptied a full hopper on full auto and diddn't break anything as a test.

trust me. the only people who dont like flatlines are speed ballers and people who cant install them. o, and a-5 flatlines are so easy to instal and take off, dont worry a bit about that. And again, you will love the barrel, the extra range will be amazing to you after using a reguler 14 inch.

and as a tip for cold weather: buy those little warm packs that you can squeeze and tape them to the inside of your hopper. shoul be able to buy them at a store that sells anything snowboard or skies

Read Uber Upgrades or Flatline Questions... it expains why you're gonna have problems in speedball.  The flatline is more likely to break the more paint you shoot through, and playing the back you're going to probably shoot a lot of paint for covering fire.  You might want to be careful about that.

i have tried a flatline on both an A-5 and 98. i dont like them because seem to shoot the ball way to slow, but if you turn up the velocity it decreases accuracy. also some of the balls dont seem to hit as hard and dont always pop. i would try one out before you buy it

I DONT HAVE A FLATLINE BARREL BUT I ALSO PLAY WOODS BALL AND MY FRIEND HAS ONE AND IN LONG DISTANCE SHOOT OUTS (20-30 YARDS) IT MAY BE BETTER BUT THE BALLS DONT BREAK BECAUSE OF THE BACKSPIN THATS MY OPINION BUT I THINK IT MAY WORK WITH A REGULATOR
