Different manufacturers make barrels with Tippmann type threads , J&J , Lapco , JT , DYE , Just make sure you order one with threads for the 98c (M98 is the same threads too) .

Welcome to the sport, and the forum !

Why? Do you have a barrel with non-tippmann threads?

But anyway, I seriously consider this barrel to be comparible to the Lapco BigShot (the biggest hype on this forum). It's the CP One-Piece. $34.95 + shipping.

A good barrel in your price range would be the J&J ceramic.

Barrel adapters do not cost that much. You need to know what specific kind of gun the barrel came from(like angle, spider, autococker, ect.). There are many different types of barrel threads that fall under the catagory of "non-Tippmann", pretty much every type of gun that is not a tippmann has different threads.

J&J would be your best bet either a 14 or a 12. partial to the 12.

if ur gonna buy a barrel just but it threaded fo a tippman already, you won't need an adapter unless you wanna go ,from say the barrel from a Spyder Extra to the tippy

So to recap, you know that you can just buy, for example a Dye Boomstick that is already for a 98 and that you don't need a barrel adapter?
