Specs are:
JT 14" Stainless back .688" barrel (Black baked Enamel)
Polished internals , BSA Red Dot sight 30MM
Halo B with refinements (Thanks Rico's Revenge !!)
Trigger overtravel stop (1mm travel , Shortened)
Modified sear engagement surface
Heavier Sear spring , Shortened Power tube (1/16")
RD Vertical feed , Surface ground recievers mating surfaces
Mods to come :
Blowback porting of CVX valve
Double trigger (May copy SmartParts Touch trigger ,if I go electric sear tripper )
Epoxy painting of the Halo , with custom Logo
Currently shoots at 13 BPS without any electronics , it may go faster , but I cant pull the trigger that fast !!
The paint at the vert feed was a result of having too much preload on the ball stack , (Blender Time !! )

Why do you have a scope on it if it's centerfed?

The Ups are on the inside , I am trying to keep this , totally Mechanical , and come as close to 20 BPS as It can go ....
And with the Red-Dot "Sight" , you can leave the front lense cover on , and still sight thru it , it works , believe me !!
Zero Magnification , it just puts a red dot in your field of vision , where the paintball will land .

When you keep both eyes open, one eye can see the target while the other see's the red dot. The brain will super-impose the dot on the target so you essentially get the same effect as if the marker were side- or power-fed and using one eye.

You could get an offset sight-rail. It looks good so far. I think a double trigger would look good. Good job so far!

Whyd you shorten the powertube?
Good mods, maybe you could do something to the outside.

Might do some milling to the body , similar to what I did with my other 98 (lettering , and rear sight) .
The power tube was just a hair too far forward , the balls deflected off of it on the way to bottoming out in the chamber .
Thanks for the comments !

Will do a Thread on the internals , and mods (hopefully stickied) when gun is tuned and flawlessly performs , disclosing tricks ,mods and how-to's .
The hopper wont be red forever , think Red Spider (blackwidow) .
Marker is still a work in progress , a LOT of finishing touches , and Fine tuning to do yet .

I hand ground the sear to match the angle of engagement of the rear bolt . this alone took about an hour and a half , after I spent 2 hours making the jig on a mill . Even with the heavier sear spring , the trigger pull is Much lighter and crisper than stock , almost at a par with an electro , but not quite .

Watch that you don't grind the top edge of the sear too sharp. If you do, the end will start to chip. Trust me, it's happened to me.
Good luck on the project!

mech gun ... single trigger... 13 bps... i'm doubting this. I'm
not screaming and ranting that you're lying, i just am in doubt of this
happening. have you shot it over one of those chronographs that
count bps?...
i mean... i could get my mag up to 12 with a blade trigger
constistantly... for some reason i'm a bit weary on your 13 bps
claim.

I have , but its not consistent yet , the chrono that I shot over (PMI Radar Chrony ) takes the highest BPS in a string , and reads that , as most chrono's do .
It would be Much easier to sustain that , or even improve on it for even a longer burst with a Blade trigger , thats on my list of "Must Haves" yet .
I have no problem with people saying its hard to believe , I am trying to see how fast I can get a 98C to fire repeatedly without chopping or turning into a blender , most of the improvements to RoF are from model98.net to date , and I have a couple as of yet unproven ideas I am going to try ,if they work , you will see them in a post later , and on model98.net

So, this is what you was braggin to me bout a month ago huh....and when you do achieve yer goal on that...dont try to patent it.
2 reasons.....
1. yer using a Tippmann marker instead of making yer own type of marker.
2. you stated yer going to copy the Smart Parts Touch Grip.

Yep , this is the project I started a lil bit over a month ago,,, and whoever said I was gonna patent anything ?
I said I might copy the smartparts touchtrigger "IF" I make it an electric sear tripper , But I highly doubt I will want or need to introduce electric to something I am trying to keep purely mechanical .
I would not consider any other manufacturers marker except Tippmann for such an undertaking , the frame is Strong , the valve is Very simple and reliable , and as long as I make just one for myself , even if I copy anothers patented idea (Ie Smartparts) and its touch trigger , there's nothing they can or will do . I have a 3 year electronics engineering degree , plus Many years experience in mechanical/machinery prototyping and repair , along with failure analysis , and a bit of mettalurgy . I am going slow , Cuz money is tight right now , and doing most of the Mods myself , milling , surface grinding , etc .
I did some research and found their schematic on some patent paperwork they had to make public .. If I do make the touch trigger ,it will be substantially different enough in construction , as not to be considered an infringement
Some of the modifications I have yet to make , are radical changes to valve design and porting , and involve some "point of no return" modifications (I might Trash the CVX valve ,or even the recievers if I goof up ) , But Hey ,, It'll be fun if it works !!
I am still using 20 BPS as my goal , and should be able to get the marker to shoot 15-16 easily , I may make a Ghetto Firestorm crank to cycle the trigger that quickly tho,, I definitly cant walk a trigger to save my Butt .
