I was just curious which way a Flatline barrel curves... up or down? I've looked at pictures, some appear to have both... info?

mine seems to curve up mostly but i was shooting wal-mart paint when i was actualy paying atteniton, but that jsut my barrell and im sure that they are all close but not identical, and im sure the paint itself plays a big factor

As soon as the ball enters the barrel it begins on an upward curve, then it gently bends back downward putting the backspin on the ball.

If my posts seem strange it is because dial-up gives me too much time to think.

the barrel makes the ball have backspin, which raises the ball nd allows it to curve up, but the force of gravity and the curve of the ball cancel each other out, and puts the paintball on a straight, flat path.

I have not had any trouble with my barrel curving up or to the side at all.  Using Marbilizer and other paint has not had any effect on my shooting.

the barrel will shoot balls to the side if you do not hold the barrel straight. it will put a side spin on the ball and there will be no gravity to cancel out a side spin, in turn, the piantball will veer off to the side A LOT.  this can be overcame as long as you hold the marker in a straight, upright position. this is why it is not for speedballers. speedballers tend to peek out of bunkers side ways to give themselves more body cover.

depends on many things.

What paint you use, your velocity, and if you have paint in your barrel.

If you get paint in your barrel, the balls will make the most athletic turns u will ever see. Once wen it was real cold out the paintballs were real brittle and broke in my flatline at high rates of fire, and the balls would go in an upward diagnol slant, then go down, then spiral until it hit a bunker lol. lesson: dont get paint in your barrel, or play in conditions wen you have to walk around the woods befor a game and stamp out ice just so you can get to a bunker. Yea it was that cold.
