What is the purpose of a drop forward? I am a returning newbie. I played about 6 years ago when the Tippmann 98 was fairly new, and joined the military and kinda never saw it again til I came back home. It does a few different things. It puts the center of gravity lower. and moves it forward. SOme say it helps the balance. It shortens the over all length of the marker. And genrely keeps the heck out of us woodsball palyers way if we use a stock (if you dont us a remote line). ------------- Halo CDPaintbal.com One of the oldest running scenario fields in the southeast. |

it balances out your gun very nicely, especialy with a stock. when useing your tank as a stock with one it puts your gun higher up and it seems easier to see your shots. -------------

I started using one when I switched to HPA because my 68ci tank made it just a bit too long when using that as a stock. I like my gun a bit shorter. Unfortunately, it is lower so if I try to use it as a stock, I end up looking along the side of my gun instead of over it most of the time. A shorter stock also help when reacting quickly as a shorter stock makes it faster to shoulder your gun. I also kept the stock of my M4 (like the GAU-5 I think the AF used) at one click less than fully extended for that reason, and to make up for the extra thickness of my IBA and plate. When I had to change the my M16-A4 I was a little dissapointed bacause I had to get used the longer stock on that. |

A drop forward carries out its name. It Shifts your tank down and forward. This is so the tank isnt in the way and if you have a stock it works out great! -------------
