Spear fish. For more than 1 reason. First, you get to make your spear, which can be a task itself without good tools. Second, actually learning where your spear is in the water, compared to it being next to the fish, when there is that little off-factor in water that makes it look like its somewhere it's not. Then once figuring that out, actually getting a fish close enough to you, so you can kill it. After all that you can go back to a fire previously made, and cook your fish. Yep, that's what I'd do. -------------

Ok... dudette... I live in Ontario... The closest thing to a clear blue Ocean we have here, is a few mirky brown "great" lakes, that is frozen for 11 of 12 months of the year.
I mean... Jesus H Christ... I can't imagine what it would be like living in one of the states where it's nice and warm the whole year... See, instead of spear hunting in a crystal blue ocean, I'm trudging through snow, with my soulpatch freezing to my  chin... THE HAIRS ARE LITERALLY FREEZING! The closest thing i get to warmth like that of a beach is once I get to work, and I stand over a grill flipping burgers for the ingrates who come in, wave after wave... sometiems I just want to yell: "Stop eating for 5 minutes so I can have a break"....
Bottom line, I'm Canadian... I don't know the meaning of warm weather... ------------- Tenacious and Versatile |

ya its called refraction when light gos from a less dense medium (air) to a more dense medium (water) light refracts (or bends) toward the normal (a imaginary line 90* to the water) makin the fish look as if its some were its not. also the resaon spear fishers can get close enough to the fish is because the fish cant see them when there that close to the surface, thats called total internal reflection, but thats a little more complicated ive been doing to much studying, stupid finals ------------- <1 meg sig = bad> |
