Tippmann 98 Custom

with the camo covers...(I know it looks crappy but it serves it purpose)

My Tippy (after a day of play\testing, hence paint splatter) that I use for woodsball \ scenario games.  I recently installed the reg and had to take it out for 'field' testing.

UPGRADES

GTA Flatline barrel

STO regulator (WGP-from Karnivor)

Check-It unimount ASA

Nitro Duck Tuff Skin 88\4500  (all day\one fill...heavy)

GTA Double Trigger (Promark blade coming soon)

DOA rear velocity adjuster (easy chrono-ing)

Revi 12v hopper (w\ board upgrade & cut neck=low profile)

NXe barrel bag & tank cover (as you can see???)

Fixed hopper wobble in feedneck (secure & shake free)

Ported Vertical Adapter (increased, more consistent airflow)

Ported feedneck (blowback relief\faster loading)

Polished internals (smoother operation??)

Milled "98 Custom" lettering (rough as hell..fixed a little bit 1-29-05)

pianted gun in a matte black finish (no reflections)

It looks pretty sweet. The all black scheme is nice, especially the black "tippmann" with no "98custom"

5/10 u did a very poor job on milling. try it again. u will get better.

Yeah, the milling is rough...I did it on a whim about an hour before I left to go paintballin'...I just sprayed it to hide the scratched bare metal look...I will finish it properly very soon...after the NFL season!

Damn Rothlesburger!

I use it for woodball, so hence the crappy camo covers...my hopper is clear, so it's easy to see the coloured paintballs...the camo cover hides that and helps me to blend in with the forrest.

A quick touch-up is all the milling needs. I dont really like the camo coverings either. Good job. 7/10

The hopper cover is there for the purpose of hiding the highly visible paintballs in the clear hopper.   It is ugly but it serves its purpose.  When playing woodsball I can see other palyers hoppers full of pink\yellow\green or whatever bright colours (the filed psint we must use) sitting in their clear hoppers.........so they should be able to see me the same way....there is nothing stealthy about a hopper full of brightly coloured balls...this UGLY camo cover helps and the UGLY barrel camo cover help me blend in when I'm laying down waiting for a sucker to walk by.

I use compressed air... an expansion chamber would just be a waste, that's why I have a reg...ex chamber gives the CO2 time to expand and turn back into a gas before it enters the guns valve, comp air is already a high pressure gas, the reg helps control the pressure.   Most of the time, the CO2 is part liquid in your tank.

not a fan of remotes, plus I'm not sure if you can safely use remotes when using comp air tanks.

O.K I put up a pic with the camo crap off & I fixed up the rough a$$ milling job and painted the gun a non-reflective matte black finish.
