I have a 98 Custom, Stabilizer, Qloader, Response Trigger (not allowed anywhere), Double Trigger, and Bigshot Barrel.

I am happy with my gun's performance but I think the gun is too massive and want something light. I held my friend's Automag and loved it. I want an Automag and swap accessories off my 98 Custom and put them on it. I also want a Y-grip because I can imagine how comfortable they are. Maybe a Level 10 Mod but I hear they require a lot of fidgeting and it makes people go insane with brain frenzy.

Is it worth it? Should I just stick with my 98 Custom as my main gun? It performs great but it feels like I am holding a tank turret.

Aaaaaaah!

Aaaaaaah!

Aaaaaaah!

What should I do? What are the pros and cons? Should I stick with the 98 Custom? It has to be one or the other! Decide for me since I can't handle the calculations!

Sincerely,
Brainless_Fool

i had to go through this same dilema. i have a very upgraded 98 (sig) and once i got a taste of an automag, i was hooked. so last week i bought a 68 classic off ebay for $120, and it should be here today. it was a deal i couldnt pass off. but im still going to mainly use my Tippmann, but switch off maybe every game.

Well. since I'm a big 98C lover...I would stay with it!
But since u like the Aputomag's weight better its your decision....but I thnik you are going to spend too much mmoney on the Automag, so stick with the 98 Custom!

get the mag. i love mine. the easist way to tune a level 10 is to buy on off ebay pre-tuned. My mag is soooo light compared to my tippmann and once i get some money im going to ULE it all. The level 10 will never chop a ball and the intellifame makes the trigger a lot ligher. but if ur going to get the level 10, save up some more money and buy an x-valve, they come stock with level10. I still have my tippmann as a back-up/ loaner gun. i dont have the heart to get rid of it. look on ebay for a sweet mag package. A 68 classic or a minimag or a micromag or a rt pro are great guns.

Thanks for your input guys, you speak the language I like to hear.

Someday soon I'll get an Automag with some nice upgrades on it, but only when I play paintball more often. For right now, the 98 Custom does it's job all right.

Wow, what an amazing concept!! Go out and buy 5 guns at the same
time!!

I can't say I've ever even considered this, but I will say that if one, two,
three, or five years from now when I deceide I want a new marker, there's
no way in that I'll be selling any of my old markers to get it.
Markers and guns (the kind that shoot bullets), like many things, can be
aquired over time, and turn into a collection, rather than just having one!

You can't have too many guns. It's good to have at least one spare in case you have problems, or want to take a newb out to play.

Mags. You can't take mods from your custom and put them on a Mag.

Keep your 98c. Besides automags cannot run on C02. They freeze almost as soon as you put the tank on.

^ where did you hear that one? co2 works great in classic valves, but liquid co2 can cause spikes. and if you use it in rt or x valves, youll just get very high velocity spikes (sometimes in the 400's), but it will not "freeze up". so unless your planning to get something without a classic valve, co2 will give you problems. but classics work great.

The automag can run on co2 without freezing, my local field(pev's which was in the greg hastings tournament paintball game for xbox) rents automags and they run them off of c02
