Just as a review I have recently purchased a bolt for my A-5 from shocktech. And I didnt really beilive the claims, but this upgrade really improves your acurracy. And if you have about $20 to spill I would really recomend this upgrade for your Tippmann.

The shocktech is heavier than the stock one, how would that help efficiency? Also what tests have you done to prove any of what your saying? WHERES THE PROOF?

Calm down tool. The guy is just offering his opinion on a product that he has personally tested. There's no need to get worked up.

I'm not getting worked up. All I'm saying is if your going to go saying a product help with accuracy and effeciency you better have done field tests to prove it. I'm not just talking about going out and shooting it in the backyard. You need to take out all variables possible like wind, velocity spikes, and recoil.

Improves accuracy?
My 98 did not, ever, chop paint untill I changed the bolt.
Accuracy and efficiency are pointless after the marker goes into frape mode.
I threw it away. Waste of 20 dollars IMO.

How high can you get ur velocity with the bolt? cause my exp(not wit shock tech bolt) is it drastically lowers your velocity, tried my friend's firestar bolt and even wit polished enternals and velocity screw all way outi couldn't get velocity above 240-250. Didn't attempt to see if  it helped wit efficency or acc after that.

I've heard good things about the shocktech...  but just going on someone saying "its better" is ridiculous.  Perhaps it is, but lets see some empirical evidence.  I dont care how many peoples thread's you ruin, as long as we come out with some solid verifiable tech.  And "its awesome" is not tech.

saying something is "heavier, but cycles smoother" is not better.  If it cycled smoother, AND was lighter, than that might be something.  But this doesnt appear to be the case.

I just promoted the supafly in another thread... but I didnt say it was better, I said it had gotten some positive reviews, and I stated where they could be found so that potential buyers could look around and buy at their own discresion.

All I want to see is a Tippmann forum with less gossip and heresay and more solid verifiable tech.

Well nigel i garuntee that will never happen here. Not unless we get rid of the people that say a product is good just because they heard it was good or it seems nice when they put it on their marker.

You guys want proof? Ok...

The ball fired from a paintball gun stabilizes it's flight path within the first 6-8 inches of the barrel.

The bolt does not strike the ball to make it move at 300 fps. That would be air.

The bolts claim to make a better seal around the powertube. Unfortunately, air flows like water and will still surround the front bolt.

The weight of the front bolt is added to the weight of the rear bolt via the linkage arm, and this combined weight strikes the CVX valve and determines valve dwell, and the harder it hits (added weight) the more air is released.

Since the barrel and type of paint have everything to do with accuracy and the front bolt has absolutely nothing to do with accuracy, I'm going to try to guess- THE SHOCKTECH BOLT DOES NOT IMPROVE ACCURACY.

The Super Fly bolt like most aftermarket bolts does not improve accuracy or effciency, most end up doing more harm then good. The Super Fly bolt causes many chops and if you look around the internet you'll see people who have installed a SF on thier M98 had lots of problems. When it comes to the M98 the stock bolt is the best. Its a waste of money to buy an after market barrel when the stock barrel does just fine.
