side arms are really not practical unless your really hardcore into scenario games and all. However, if you have your mind set 32degrees makes a good one the PT Extreme. There are others besides that though. Good Luck

Ariakon makes 2 great pistols. The new ACP, and the newer Overlord(the only overlord info is in the ariakon forum). The ACP and the Overlord have both recorded an average of 27 shot a 12 gram. For a pistol thats insane. My bro owns the ACP and its awsome. I would recommend it unless your a woods player or a scenario player.

I’ve used PGP’s and Splatmasters and they both are great as sidearms. The PGP can take a huge amount of abuse as the older ones were made of solid brass, although I don’t know if they still are.
Cooljon012288,
That mount is the 45-degree one you can get for the A-5. Some of the bigger paintball mail-order places have them and the last time I looked last summer, the place I knew had them was selling just the mounts for 40-50 bucks. For the A-5, it’s a necessity as a top-mounted scope will interfere with the hopper.
Sorry, I know this was off-topic but I’d just thought I’d throw that out there!

The Delta, Zues, and PT models are all about the same.
I have noticed that a lot of people have had issues with them leaking air. Most people I know that use them keep a 12 gram in it, but dont tighten it (to charge it) until they are going to use it.

Intimidating?
Not to giggle, but when I see a guy with a sidearm at a game I experience a variety of emotions - intimidation is NOT one of them.

How about when I hold my main marker in one hand, pull out
the pistol with the other, aim both on one guy and march
towards him with both markers ripping? I've only been shot
once while doing that. Sure, I'm not invincible, but hey, I'm
not Superman...

I have a PT extreme, I really wouldn't recommend them I have had alot of problems with air leaking. I don't usually charge it till I'm gonna use it. If it werent for a great airsmith at the paintball field were I bought it I would probably through it away.
On the other hand when you are out screwing around, it is really fun to see how many people you can take out with a short barrel and 10 rounds. Not to mention I have the flatline and many of you know what it takes to squeege the barrel if a ball breaks, it's nice to have that handy for when someone tries to charge me.
It has come in handy, I once played a whole capture the flag game with it. We were playing so that when you got shot you could tag your base and come back in (just to keep it interesting and the game longer, some of ya'll should try it one day it makes for awesome stand-offs at the flag pole and long sprints when you finally get it- anyways I digress). Since it was so small I could sneak up and crawl around much easier than my huge tippmann. I took out about 4 people in that game with it and personnally broke a stand-off at our base because if you tag in they will shoot you, but if they come forward you will tag in and shoot them, its really tense. I was able to tag in on a tuck and roll and ended behind a bunker and took out the main man holding us at gun point (for lack of a better word), from there my team took out the other guys and we raced to their flag, before they could get there.

clark try using a side arm as a primary. playing stock class or duleing is a blast. i have 4 paintball pistols and i get about 30 good shots(about 50pops from the valve)-150+ good shots from a 12 gram. depending on the pistol.

^^^^^^ I've done that. Always a blast. Pistol-only games, stock class, duelling - fun, fun, fun.
It's the guy with John Woo fantasies at the scenario game that makes me giggle... I have a hard enough time hitting my target with both hands on the gun.

If you really want a sidearm, i'd say go with a zeus, but honestly all sidearms are a waste of money.

I own a Palmer Squall. It is the absolute best gun I have used and own. It is a 10 rnd spring fed, 12 gram powered version of the typhoon, but the size of a pistol. It is expensive but you get what you pay for. It is more accurate than my cocker with the same great range as my cocker. It costs about $640. If that is too much that have a pump pistol that is like a PGP on steroids and it runs for like $340.
I use my Squall as my main now and I can't get enough of it. I haven't even touched my cocker.

For pistol only (really does sound like fun), or scenario play maybe... but I'd rather spend the money on a nice upgrade for my A5... maybe a case of squad busters... but you know what they say about opinions... Shut the F%&% up!

I have a zeus g2 it is awesome you guys have no idea how much fun it is to go onto the field with your sidearm and a pocket full of 12grams and 10 rounds tubes. And the best part is when you start eliminateing people left right and center. Plus it's just fun.

Sorry I love mine too much. If you look around you can find them used and for general affordable prices. Though mine was new and set me back a bit in the pocket book I couldn't be happier. I have had the most rewarding and intense games ever with my Squall. http://paintmagazine.com/phpBB2/index.php - Paint Magazine Go to these forums and you can find used Palmer guns, there is usually a Squall or 2 for sale.
