I suprised Stevie Ray Vaughan hasn't been mentioned......

Anybody remember a kid called Jonny Lang?  He used to be like the next Hendrix, he was like 16 when he came out with his first blues album.  Well I go and check his site and now hes doing soft love ballads.

My favorite bass guitarists are fat mike from NOFX and Matt Freeman from rancid, go download the decline by NOFX, it's 18 minutes long but has some really nice bass in it. I wish I could remember the name of the rancid song that had the greatest bass solo I've ever heard in my life but sadly enough I cant.

Although many people will say Kirk Hammet is nothing close to the best guitarist of all times. You must give him credit in the fact that each and every one of his solos fits Metallica's song like a custom fabricated glove.

That song does have a mind blowing bass solo but the one I'm thinking of is mostly instrumental and has a midn melting bass solo.

EDIT: I found it, it's "Axiom", at aboud 28 seconds the bass solo kicks in and ends at 50 seconds, it's like 22 seconds of pure bass secks.

Rob Zombie doesn't play guitar.

Dimebag, not sure what my favorite band is.  Slayer, Black Sabbath, Pantera, Tool, Metallica, Children of Bodom, too many to list.

Seriously? Damn. Where at???

And Apu: Every single solo he does, fits his songs perfectly. None don't sound bad at all, every thing fits like you said. And thats why i respect him.
