Thermal lense, or get a new mask with one. Dye Invision.

Also try Anti- Fog sprays, not the best though.

Someone told me that you could take a raw potato, cut it in half, and rub it on the inside of your lense. let it dry and then buff the potato film off the lense, and it wouldnt fog up. I of course never tried that.

I bought a mask with anti fog lense.   All joking aside, thay say if you place the mask a little differently on your face, with the goggles not so close up under your eyes (just slightly lower), it wont fog as bad. Suppose to allow a little more air flow into the goggle area. {The potato thing is suppose to work thou}

that potato thing sounds like somthing a kid would say to someone he had a grudge on so that he would screw up his lenses and have to buy new ones

If you are playing in the wrong weather most thermal lenses willl still fog. Try breathing out your nose not your mouth.

More or less, but my Profiler fogged when my hood was up around the mask. When I dropped the hood, however, I didn't have a problem again.

1. Don't breathe funny.

Mosts masks I have used are vented so that fogging doesn't happen. Maybe try something different.

Get a mask that has a Thermal Lens or an anti-fog spray and if you dont have either one....jus spit into the lens and wipe it (sounds nasty but, it works) and if you dont think so....ask anyone who goes scuba diving.

Fogging occurs when the lens is two different temperatures. Anti-fog films/ sprays try to make sure water vapor doesn't form on the mask from condensation. These don't work too well, especially in the cold. Thermal lenses use two lens with an air space between to buffer the temperature difference. As long as there's no moisture that seeped between the two lenses, it won't fog. Mask fans can also help, but in the cold having freezing air enter your goggles where your eyes are isn't exactly comfortable.

Potato grease sounds like it would work. It would make the mask surface greasy, and it won't allow water vapor to condense since oil and water don't mix.

Alright I know how you feel. I almost quited paintball because of the mask problem, but then I got the V-force shield. It has never fogged. NEVER. You can but your mouth against the inside lenses and they will not fog no matter how hard you try. They run about 40-45 bucks. And they are worth every single penny.

I agree with getting a V-force.  I have a Morph and it NEVER fogs.  The mask itself is a little bulky so I'm either gonna get a profiler or try the JT Pro-Flex.  But V-Force masks never fog.

Ace: Check if the mask is just anti-fog b/c anti-fog lense dont do a good jod of keeping to fog away. If your lense is really thermal, you should have no problem with fog.

If you've got a cheap mask, like one that came in a package with gun and
tank and whatnot, you should probably consider buying a new one. A
good mask is very important! Probably more so than a good gun!

Other things that may help: thermal lens, goggle fan, anti-fog spray

I remember I made a home made fan for my old JT mask. Ripped an old
processor fan out of some old computer that was junk, and hooked it up
to a 9v battery. Worked pretty good.

I agree with this post.  I hav a V-Force and it never fogs.  I bught the morph for about $62.  well worth it.  Paintball is no fun if you can't see what you're shooting at.

I have a jt Proteus 2 and mine only fogs up when it gets dark and it is only on the bottom of the lens, and alot of scenario players have that problem at 24 hour games, but if you play only during the day then get any comfortable thermal, not anti-fog lens

Most manufacturers recommend you replace your lens every year. If its
wearing out, especially if it has any stress marks showing up around the
edges, its time for a new lens.

Now is probably the best time to do it too. New lens for the new season!

I wear glasses. I use a thermal lens but when you are moving quickly (running) you are going to generate humidity inside the mask. The Thermal lens may not fog but the glasses will. Anti-fog cloths and sprays do prevent "fog" from forming on the lens and glasses but there is still condensation...the lenses get wet. Eventually, sometimes in very short order, the water droplets distort your view as badly as the fog.

I picked up a goggle fan on Ebay. As it comes it is very ineffective. The fan sits on top of the goggle and can be set to suck air up through the goggles of blow down into them. Sucking air from the bottom up draws your humid breath into the goggles. Instant fog.

Set to blow down can work but blowing through the small perforations in the top of the goggles allows very little air to move across my glass' lenses. The fix, to some degree, is to cut a hole in the perforated area that is the size of the fan. The area is fully protected by the plastic fan body so paint is still kept out...at least as well as with the perforations. The perforated area outside of the fan should be covered with strips of duct tape to force the air to travel across your face...not short circuit and flow back out of the top next to the fan.

I am working on a fan using two 25 mm 5 volt computer fans. More air flow and less noise. I'll let you know when (and if) it works.

A V-Force Sheild is a inexpensive goggle system that works great.  If you are having fogging problems with your masks that came with your guns, or the $20 ones from the retail stores, chuck it and order a V-Force Sheild......you will NOT be disappointed.  Locking for a lower profile?....use the V-Force Profiler....I used to have a Sheild...LOVED IT, advanced as a player and wanted a lower profile so my G/F bought me a Profiler from my birthday....They both use the same lense, both have nice super soft foam, the profilers sits tighter to your face but both feel about the same.  Your average rec player would do nicely with a Sheild.

To follow up: played three hours of speedball last night with the Ebay goggle fan set up as I explained above. It was continuously raining. For the forst time ever I played with NO fog problems on my glasses  inside my mask(JT Spectras). Best time I have had since I started paintballing!!!

Quote Potato grease sounds like it would work. It would make the mask surface greasy, and it won't allow water vapor to condense since oil and water don't mix.

Potatos can work, but not because they are greasy (unless you are rubbing french fries on your lens!).  If you have ever grated a raw potato you get a kind of slippery goo on the grater.  That goo can act as a weak surfactant which means it causes water to lay flat rather than bead up into mico drops on your lens.

But you will find that that goo will not last very long if at all on your advanced plastic lens.
