Welcome to the forum. Yes, the R/T and a barrel would be a very good start. I'm not a big Flatline fan. It can be finicky with paint and velocity. It does the distance though.  Do some searches here and at http://www.pbreview.com - www.pbreview.com  .  A double trigger with the R/T wouldn't be bad either.

i heard from some paintball shop that the doub trig doesn't work good wit the rt, but idk much bout rt's. Do you mostly play woodsball or speedball? if you play sort of in the mid maybe you should consider gettin maybe a e-grip, j&j barrel, blade trig. just a suggestion, flatline rt sounds good too

I suggest getting the E-Grip and the JCS Trigger.  These are 2 of the best ups u can put on your gun, and it will absolutely rip!  But if u don't got a barrel, get one first.  I suggest the Ultralite or the Flatline (both will lighten u're wallet by $100 or more).  I shoot both of them (UL for speedball and Flatline for woods), and they are truely great barrels.

The very first upgrade would be a new barrel.  I recommend the Flatline or a Lapco Bigshot.  Next, an E-Grip or Response Trigger to increase your rate of fire.  I hope this helps.

First you should get a new barrel like a lapco bigshot or a J&J. Then get an egrip with a JCS trigger. After that get a drop and a x-chamber.

I agree with the A-5 flatline barrel, it works real well on my friends A-5. In place of the Response Trigger system, I would reccomend the E-grip. I know places that sell it cheaper than the Tippmann website does.As the other guy said, I also reccomend the double trigger kit.

Go for the flatline i shot about 500 paintballs on my friends a5 wit a flattline and it was great that might take alot out of your 200$ tho not the cheapest part in the world
