Do any aftermarket companies sell an A5 E-grip? I herd that the tippmann E-grip is topped off at 10 - 12 balls a second. If I pay $150 bucks I want it to top out at 15 or more!!!!

i thought the e grip is capable of 15...anyways the e girp is a tippmann product...there's no other company that makes an e-grip, different companies may SELL the e grip but its still the tippmann's e grip.

Edit: also i got my e grip for 120 on ebay

yea the e-grip is cable of 15 becuase that is how fast the cyclone is.  If you were to make it a center feed it could shoot faster but that would take alot of time and patience.  Tippmann is the only companie that makes a e-grip for the a5

An Egrip is said to be maxed out at 15-16 Which is the same speed that the cyclone goes. And yes Tippmann is the only company that makes them, 888paintball is selling them for only $119 but they are out of stock

^^wrong...the cyclone does not put a cap on the board; the cap on the board puts it on the board. you could have a 20 bps cyclone feed system but your cap on your e-grip will still be 13-15 bps.

^^it goes faster but much faster than 15bps and it will turn into a blender...thats y the cap on the e-grip is 15bps. i think they could have made it faster on the 98c but chose not too cuz they wanted the a-5 to be their "top gun".....thats how i c it n/e ways

With the e-grip I have learned a few things.  I made another post about this but I will reiterate briefly.

About 8 months ago I purchased an egrip.  I tested the max and found out it was only 12.1 bps.  I tested a friend's and his was 13bps. This was confusing to me since I believed the cap was 15bps.  Comparing and contrasting info and calling tippmann to verify, I learned that almost all egrips are different. I first asked a techician what the cap in general was on the e-grip. He said It depends but it can not be greater than 15 bps sicne the cyclone feed has show poblem in general with testing over 15.5bps. So I questioned about that and heconfrimed that info for the cyclone.

As far as the max or cap on egrips, he said it depends.  Soem are aroudn 12 or 13 like the ones I tested. However most are around 14-15 bps.  I guess it is just the luck of the draw with the cap. My friend bought his only a month ago so the cap didn't change with time, in that 15bps are not newer or older egrips.  There is a semi-only WAS board coming out in may that is uncapped however, I don't know too many people that can shoot over 15 bps with an A5 anyways, regardless of the 15.5 cyclone max.  The WAS board, if not known, is designed to be integral into the newer and upcoming electric tippmann's where it would be more applicable than the A5. Just wanted to clearify things.

It must have been your post I read before becasue that is what I'm talking about. I just don't want to get stuck with an e-grip that shoots 10, 11, 12 ball a sec.

all of the later models of the egrip are capped at 14-15 bps, the cyclone doesnot set a cap, the chip inside the egrip does. they dont make the egrip fire more than about 15 bps, because anything higher than that, the cyclone will start to skip balls starting at 17bps. thats why you dont want to buy the Was board for your A5, ull be payin $100 for 2 bps faster.
