do i really need a vertical adapter for a X chamber or a reg ,or i can put it  directly to the valve? (in the middle of the f grip and the b grip)

Are you getting the kit?  The kit comes with it.  And as far as I know, and I do have one installed, you do need the vertical adapter.

I think there actually is a way to screw a regulator right into the valve of a 98. The problem is the distance that the 1/8 inch threads would be able to go into the valve because the recievers (sides) of the gun comes down so far after the valve.

I would recommend a vertical adapter. You can get it separately, or with an expansion chamber.  Just follow the instuctions and search online a little bit and the installation won't be as bad as the uneducated say it is.
