Well first of all, you don't use stocks in speedball or remote lines, those are made for woodsball. A good speedball barrel is the All American,a new hopper after a revvy would be the Evoultion 2 {eggy}. And for a drop forward I would reccomend the Z-drop or the bullet drop,or even the universal drop.

u can use remote lines in speedball, it balances ur marker alot a better investment would be a drop forward tho, cheaper and basically does the same thing. if ur gonna b crawling on ur stomach alot(at the snake or sumthin) i think a remote line would be best. they cost around 30 from 32*
-edit-what r u shooting?

ok first of all, if i saw some guy who came to a tourney with remote line on his gun, i would pee in my pants rolling on the ground laughing. go ahead with a drop forward.  a revvy w/ xboard is good, get a all amreican or a ceramice, then get a cross fire tank.

A new barrel, possibly a kit like Evil Pipe or freak, LPK, regulator.

Dont use a stock for speedball.

Harness:

Depends on what position you play. If you play back, you want something that hold more paint than a front player. Maybe a 3+2 or 4+3 for a front/mid and something bigger like a 5+4 or maybe a 4+3 for a back player.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot. When you pick a harness, try it on and look to see if any of the harness is exposed in front of you. Ask someone to stand about 10 feet in front of you and let them see if anything is exposed. If there is, get a smaller harness. I'm 5'6'' and 140lbs, and a Redz 4+4 exposes very little on me.

Since it's a Model 98, keep the original endcap and during woodsball, you can put the stock on, and during speedball, take it off, replace the original endcap. It only takes less than 5 minutes to change.

uhh...why should i keep the endcap because its a M98?

So when you take the stock off, you don't have a giant hole on the back of your gun.

Oh yeah I know, I guess I worded that wrong. Sorry about that. I was just typing what I was thinking, so "Since it's a Model 98" was just me talking to myself, haha.

Here's a link to some Redz gear. They call it a 3.3 or 4.4, etc. The pictures explain it pretty well: a 3.3 (or 3+3) has 3 conventional places where you can put a pod; plus 3 "soft loops" which can hold an additional 3 pods, and when not used, they can be tucked in so they don't hang out and act as a target.

go for a shorted barrel.no stock.remote (i saw it at speedball before).try an r/t.pack 5+2 means it holds seven do the math try something that reflects the amount of paint u shoot

The collapsibles aren't bad, just don't buy the 32 Degrees or BT Paintball ones, get the good one from Proteam Prdoucts. I've had it for like 3 years and never had a problem.

Stocks are horrible, especially for speedball.   I think you need to make up
your mind whether your building a woodsball gun or a speedball gun!

That's the beauty of a Custom 98 though; you can have a woodsball gun and then less than 10 minutes of switching out parts, you could have a speedball gun.
