well it depends cuz it will cause more car crashes cuz peeps will get hi at a party and drive but i dont know

Dude, think of how many high driving accidents you hear about...... now think of how many drunk driving accidents you hear about....... now think of all the non substance caused accidents......... I've never heard "A family was killed today after being hit by a high driver." or anything of the sort actually. Dude, no one wants to drive when they're stoned anyway! I get much too lazy to do so.

Really...weed has no chance of being legalized no matter how many people become users. I have smoked pot before, i mean i even did last night before the super bowl. No matter how hard you try it will never be legalized in our generation, decriminalized sure, but legalized pot is never gonna happen.

Peer pressure? My friends smoke weed because its fun to them, no pressure involved. They ask me every time if I want to try it, I still say no. They don't press the issue. I don't feel better than them because they smoke and I don't. The only "pride" I have up on them is that I can remember last nights antics, and they can't.

i can accept change but it makes no sense to talk about a subject that will not go anywhere. Weed is not going to be legal in the united States, thats a fact. And its not a new idea this has been talked about and the united States always declines it being legal... it will never ever be legal, because its bad and who ever does weed is the coward because it screws up your life, my friends and my sister have done it for years and they have eather been in jail or got their body screwed up. For real, One of my absolute best female friends used to make excellent grades and was recieving letters from Stanford and Yale. Now your lucky if you can get her to come to school, much more do anything. I still talk to her, and she uses the favorite phrase all stoner's do, "Your ignorant". Alcohol causes men to beat their wives, violence, stomach cancer and cerosis of the liver wich my cousin died from. These two drugs in my opinion are far worse than pot. Im not advocating marijuana use, im just stating that far far worse drugs than marijuana are leagle and abused every day. The reason marijuana is ileagle is because it doesnt have a way to hook the user like cigerete company and they dont have lobyists throwing money at congressmen and senators. I think its very hypocritical to single out marijuana to be illeagle when alcohol is legal. I would even venture to say, the high from alcohol and addictiveness is worse than that of marijuana.

Marijuana is BAD and it messed up 1,000s of peoples lives and families, if you think it is ok, then you have an emotional difficulty that you must get over. And it will always stay bad and will never be legal, just live with it!

Pot is illegal because hemp is not good economically for cotton farmers. It doesn't have anything to do with "how bad it is."
The government has now dumped so much money into the "War on Drugs" that they don't want to look like idiots by saying, "Woops we messed up. Pot isn't as bad for you as we told you." (WMDs in Iraq ring a bell? "Woops, there were none... let's change the topic...")(Yes, I'm a Bush supporter).

So has alchohol and it's legal. Hell it not only ruins families, it kills people! Marijuana has never killed anyone(from consumption, car crashes yes), and alcohol does twanky fo. Marijuana makes you peaceful and lazy, alcohol makes you start thinking with the front part of the brain that controls your basic insticts (you know, "ME MAN! ME MUST PROVE ME BETTER DAN HIM! You know what, it is your choice and i have no problem with your choice becasue its not effecting my life. But you are saying pot should be legal meaning it is ok to smoke, and i diagree. I'm saying that its not good to have it legal becasue its bad for people and i'm saying it is a dumb choice to smoke pot. And you say the exact oppisite but your the one with a problem here.

And you may say i don't have a problem. But you do, breaking the law is a big problem and smoking pot is also a problem. So don't tell me what your doing is ok.

If your reason for keeping it illegal is to help people, then they shouldn't be sent to jail for pot now should they? Being sent to jail isn't exactly a way to show compassion towards someone you're helping, is it?

i think throwing them in jail is fine. Becasue there are better and different ways to cope with your "mental problems" then smoking pot. You can ask and look for help. But if you do choose smoking pot and thrown in jail... well thats great, when your in a 5 ft by 5 ft room for 1 year i think your gonna get over your mental problems pretty fast, but then again it could drive you insane.

So, it doesn't affect you, and you have no problem with my choice right? But you want it illegal because it's bad for me? That's not respecting my choice, that's trying to force your choice not to smoke on me. And breaking the law isn't a problem if the law is unjust. Remember the Nazis? They had some neat laws huh? Wonder why they're not around anymore....... oh yeah, because some couragious people stepped up and broke the law.

I am gone for a day and i come back to see two pot threads.
How could i miss such a thing.

Well, i honostly think it should be legal. Alcohol and
Ciggarettes are far worse then pot. I mean, you never hear of
deaths from smoking pot. Its all natural.

If you believe in god, then why would he have put marijuana on
the earth?

I love it how "strait edge" kids will get all mad about people
smoking pot. Come to think of it, i bet you most of the people
against pot haven't even tried it. They get their opinions from
society. Damn society. Do you see what TV is doing to us?

In a time of stress, nothing is better then sitting back and
smoking a bowl. (Or two.)

The other day, i was talking to a couple friends, who are major
pot heads, and i told them i was excited about later that
day.........i think you can take a guess why.

They said that they didn't really get excited anymore, and that
pot is just in their daily ruitine.

To conclude this, pot really isnt that bad, from what the public
tells you through false information, to what your health classes
teach you, they don't give you the facts about the good. They
tell you all the bad things about it.

Live life to its fullest, even if that means trying something new. It
can't hurt.
