Defiantly get a new hopper like a revvy or reloader. If they make you turn down the r/t then instead of that you could get a drop and an x-chamber.

I recommend, if your serious about playing competitively, that you either
a) try and get an E-Bolt or b) sell your 98 and get a new gun.

Speedball tourneys will be quite a challenge to compete in if your using a
mech marker. You've got to be able to hold your own against kids with
DM4's and Intimidators.

Best of luck to you if you do start competing!

No sir! Tippmann 98 Custom is a great gun to be competing with. He's not talking about entering the PSP's or NPPL tournaments. Just local or regional events where it is important to have fun. Most of the people in those tournaments won't be shooting to high end markers. It's a game of skill with the new rules.

Good luck and have fun!

don't know about you but local tourneys bring in intimidators and ebladed cockers.  Sell your gun and save up for something like a BKO.  they are pretty good guns for $300

I hate to sound rude but i've got to say something. It doesnt really matter what kind of marker you're using, it's just a matter of you knowing what your doing. I have pwned plenty of guys with cockers and impulses and what not. now maybe they werent very good but still. its all about technique.

But anyways, definately get an electronic hopper. I am. and try a couple of mods. go to http://www.model98.net - www.model98.net and try some stuff there. best of luck with your marker. have fun bro!
