Well, theres no legal way to make it quiETER.

The only upgrade that would help even a little would be the LPK. Or a barrel with lots of porting. But it doesnt really matter how loud the gun is, if you shoot, they're gonna hear it.

You could dill some holes in your flatline for porting, I would recommend against that though.

Drilling holes could leave burs in your barrel, that would bust the paint.

i was told that a remote does the same thing as an expansion chamber. and im too poor to get air so i still use CO2

Don't get a remote (belive me they are crapt)I used one for a while (did not like it)Remotes get in the way ,way to much.(plus they can shoot it and your out)plus the whole ""quiet"" thing is dumb.just shoot them first and don't worry about it.

I have the same thing.  My A-5 doesnt seem loud but just shoot the other team before they can react!!!  Let them hear your gun when they are out.

Well, I have heard of guys filling the void in the flatline sleeve with foam to help reduce the trademark ping. I doesn't "silence" it, but supposedly makes it less obvious that a flatline is shooting your way. I don't own a flatline for my A5, so I can neither confirn, nor deny such claims.

Heys is going to be loud.  Its a Tippmann after all.  the remote is a good investment if you dont want all that weight on your marker.  I use one.  If your worried about it getting caught and stuff, then run it thru your shirt (of course you need to cut a hole in the shirt you use).  In a way the remote gives the co2 time to expand into gas, so it would help out alittle bit.  well Have fun with you marker.

Whomping newbies who have Markers that cost more than my entire setup...PRICELESS

Instead of going to a remote, you can go vertical.  Just take off your bottom line and connect your smallest tank to the tombstone.  It looks cool!  You can carry an extra 9 in your harness easily!  I don't like vert with big tanks, but I love it w/ the 9 oz.  This is awsesome for urban scenarios.  Use your stock shorty barrel as well.  This makes you rig very compact for close up fire fights.  If you want to do it occasionally, just leave your bottom line connected and tie it up for a round here and there.  I don't like remotes because I switch hands for shooting around different obstacles.  I crawl a lot so having the remote up front is out of the question.  With it on my back it is a pain switching hands.

ya but that doesnt let the co2 expand at all like the remote would

ive got mine on vert mod too- i took off the front grip, and hold the gun by the flatline-the flatlines just as compact as the stock-but yeah, verts fun

you should here it roar when i disenage the sear and let it go full out auto-deafening to say the least

try holding the barrel parrallel to a solid object-i.e. a wall-it causes a decently distorting echo, expecially in urban combat

The A-5 Flatline has NO PORTING in it. That is why its loud!!!

If you want it quiet, get a different barrel.

My stock barreled A-5 is very loud, and it is ported.  I love the look of surprise when I open up on some surprise target.  My A-5 scares the  out of them!  I LOVE IT!!!

Why would you want it to be quiet?   I have to agree with Xspyderman, I love it loud.

If you are trying to shoot someone without letting others know your position, then all you have to do is be a little more careful when and how often you fire.      Use the cover ( eg barriers, trees, ditches ) they actually tend to bounce sound and make it look like you are in a different place.  If you place a shot or two while everyone around is firing it's doubtful your location will be given away. Also, use some skill in well placed shots.  It's harder to pick out where one shot is coming from than it is when some Rambo gets out there and feels they have to shoot 20-30 balls at each target.

I personally love doing the one shot one kill tactic on the Rambo guys.  They are so easy to find and easier to sneak up on while they are busy trying to paint the world.

I like it loud because it intimidates the enemy.

I like how the older Tippmann markers are really loud, like the 68 Carbine.
When you hear your enemy closing in on you with of those I can assure you that you're wanna get down on the ground.
