THIS GUN IS A HIGH END ELECRO GUN BUT CHEAPER THAN THE BKO!!!!  I dont care about you guyz, but im getting it once my tippmann is no longer useable. and i just made this gun at pbreviews.com, so in a few days if you have it, u can write a review.

Our most affordable marker ever. We're proud to have produced a paintball marker like no other. The Ion was built to be the marker for anyone who loves the game: simple to maintain, easy to use, designed for winning. It takes abuse like a rental gun, but throws paint with the best of them. You'll get the accuracy, range and rate of fire the Pro's enjoy for just a little more money than an entry level marker. The days of having to spend tons of cash to get what you want are over.

Our Features Presentation

— 17 balls per second semi-auto rate of fire with 3 shot burst, full auto and our Rebound firing mode.
— Break-beam Vision Anti-Chop System Reliable and durable, the eyes are mounted on a separate board for perfect alignment and not affected by paint or body color. Just clean and replace (in minutes).
— A Featherweight Prizefighter At 2.2 pounds, the Ion is among the lightest high-end markers made, and it’s tube design imparts an ultra low profile.
— Reliability The Ion was engineered to stand up to the demands of professional players. It will outlast what used to be considered high-end and won't break down the minute you get it home.
— Improved Ball Detents Approximately 10 times the service life of current detents.
— Great Efficiency Expect a reliable 1000-1400 shots from a 68ci, 4500psi bottle without any modifications.
— Accuracy & Range The trademarks you expect from Smart Parts.
— Body Kits A first for paintball. High-quality aluminum internals are protected by composite shells, allowing you to instantly change the color or look of your body. Tired of blue? Switch to red. Or black. Or yellow. And there are more body styles in the works...
— Feed Tube with O-Ring Seals Fits a wider range of hoppers than most guns in this price range.
— Tools 1/8" Allen wrench is all you need for primary disassembly--and it’s included, along with trigger and velocity adjustment wrenches and a handy parts kit.
— Impulse Threads Take advantage of the barrels and feed tubes you may already have.
A first for paintball, the Ion uses an outer body kit or shell. While the inner core that protects all the functioning parts is made from aluminum, the outer shell is a high quality composite available in four colors. Not only that, but the body shell is tough, scratch resistant and does not fade or gouge. Our body kits allow you to instantly change the look of your Ion without physically changing the marker. Just replace your old shell with a new one.

Ive already shot one, It has the feel of a shocker. Shot desently accurate and for the price is pretty fast (17 bps). Best gun for the price range for sure. ICD is going to suffer bad with this one. With the break beam eyes, and a adjustable trigger...let me be the first to say you guys won't be disappointed in this marker although its not appealing to my eyes for the price and what comes with it is a great buy. This is the new entry level tourny marker and i would recomend anyone getting into tournyball to get one. They will be releasing more shells with different colors and looks.

I would get it as a back up gun but after all the problems I had with my Impy I don't trust any Smart Parts guns. I rufuse to give money to them for another gun thats going to take a dump on me.

It may look bad but there will be more bodies comming out. And another thing is all the prices on a lot of markers will drop. You will thank smart parts for this soon.

You tippy lovers shure do have a different view on guns.  I myself own an A-5 and I love it.  But I'm starting to play rec/speedball more, and I want a new gun, but I don't want to pay an arm and a leg to get a smaller lighter gun.  I congratualate smart parts on this one (its called the ION by the way).  It is such a cool marker, look into it on some of the other forums.  Right now I'm feeding my wallet steaks, and lots of them, after I get it nice and FAT i'm going to put it on the ION diet, which by the way isn't really I diet at all.  This thing is $285 at the village.  I've been looking at posts on other forums sense they announced its release.  Most people like it more than impy's and they say that they are easier to clean and maintain and they shoot faster stock.  They are also lighter and smaller.  So its like buying a small step above the impulse for $285.  I don't know about you guys but as soon as I can afford this freakin cool gun I'm going to get it.  I'll keep my A-5 for woods and back up marker, but the ION is difinately going to be in my near future of paintball.

Look into it more before you go bashing it.

Tippmann lovers..... urg,

Nothing against tippy's (I love mine) but you guys need to learn to broden your horizon of markers.  This thing is sweet.

It has nothing to do with that. It has to do with the fact that SP cuts corners on every gun they make. Its probably so cheap because they're using recycled pepsi cans and plasic milk cartons to make the Ion.

I no this being a tippmann forum there isnt many people who support smart parts. But they put our quality products. Some people might incounter problems with a SP gun they once owned... but over all this guns are mass produced and you have to expect a problem every once in awhile. Im getting into speedball and im going to move on most likely with the ION. Its got every thing anyone needs in a gun at a great price. Not to mention like said above companies are going to drop prices on other markers to try and match SP Ion.

By the way i have been playing for 6 years... all tippmann, i no way am i bashing them.
