Moderator! Please delete this obnoxious thread! Nothing personal to the originator, but we don't need threads that are this negative. I would be interrested in an answer to the guys question since I have an A-5 and I'm still learning about it. You don't sound resposible enough to actually be able to bring the velocity up above 250......so you won't get help from me............ I bet I can get the answer off the net in 15 min :) and this time I'm going for well over 300 (just for you, friend) And the sad thing about that is that you're 21......... On most Tippmann valves, once the velocity screw is turned beyond four turns the screw no longer protrudes into the valve. It actually starts to back out of the valve and the resulting extra space (where the threads are) allows the gasses to expand in ways other than just down the barrel which decreases velocity. There is also a point ( I think it is six turns out, because I tested it once, but I don't remember for sure) where gas starts to leak out around the screw, decreasing velocity even further. -------------

....look 250 is jus fine when using the Flatline, mine is set at 270 and I have a 98c w/Flatline....any higher I'll be breaking balls like it was a trend.Posted By: Menohl

Well, I'll help you with your problem. First, you'll need to do some work yourself. Take apart the receiver halves. Check to see if your rear bolt is binding anywhere (slide it back and forth until you find resistance) then polish that area free of the overspray. Check to make sure your drive spring isn't bent. Now, more than likely the main cause is your stock. It may not fit like the end cap did and it has decreased tension on your drive spring. You can either get a stock with an RVA (rear velocity adjuster) to increase tension, a Maddmann spring kit to replace the drive spring with a stronger one, or (not suggested) you can try to stretch your current drive spring.
