do you mean a drop forward? if so, its a good idea getting one if you want a more compact and balanced gun. a drop puts the weight in the middle of the gun so its not back heavy, and placing it forward also makes it much more compact. its good upgrade for anyone.

I have considered getting a drop forward as well.  When I fit the tank under my armpit, the two screws holding the tank adapter become loose.  Is there any quick fix to this?

Noone can really tell you if you should get a drop forward or not, its all about you personal comfort and playing style. I have a drop for my A-5 but do not use it because its not as confortable "for me", my stubby tank sits just right.

Use alittle "blue" loctite, that way it stays but you can also get it back off when needed.
