Hey awhile back it was big news thatt he flatline needed rehoning once the roughness inside went smooth. Tippmann was doing it for free for a while. DO they still do that, im pretty sure mine needs it now.

They do still do it but unless youve put over 100,000 shots through the flatline it doesn't need it. Also make sure your only putting paint through it (ie no rufus tballs) and don't use a straight shot to clean it. Both will wear it out prematurely.

Odds are if your having trouble with the flatline its one of three things. You either need more practice using it (which if you've had it for a while may or may not be the case), you need to clean it (hot water and dish soap works best), or you need to align it.

I just replied to the same question. Check the threads before adding a new one sometimes. Most of the time someone has already asked the same thing.

Well it was fine, i never noticed any problem with it till i went out to play today and balls were wobbling off and doing 45*+ curves. they hadn't done that sinc ei switched to nitro. now that i think of it, its probably the paint. i usually only run PMI advantage shell paints but that day i was running dracula or somthin. but as long as tippmann is doing it for free, i'll rehone my barrel while i have time. i think i might have prematurly wared it by cleaning it with a ruff pipe cleaner a few times...... yeah my bad. lol

Tippmann has been getting annoyed at the number of people sending barrels in to be reblasted that don't need it. Its a significant expense for them and a waste of time. Most of the barrels they recieve are just in need of a good cleaning, nothing more, so thats exactly what they do to them. Save yourself the hassle and just give it a good cleaning with plenty of hot water and some dish soap.
