Well, i figured i'd get the common opinion...  I think my A-5 is finished, but i'm not positive.  I just wanted to know if any of u had any recommendations for me that would make it any better preformance wise.  I am not overly interested in the LPK, but if u can give a good reason to support why it is useful, i'm up for listening.  Just let me know of anything, thanks everyone.

That is one sweet A-5 you have there sportdeamon89. How do like that JCS trigg? Have you done any internal mods like power-tube or bolt mods, springs? I am no expert by any means , just trying to learn AMAP.. I am glad I don't play against you every weekend!! I am hopefully getting a Comp-air soon???  I will let you know how it does..

Cheers,Brian

I'd get rid of the macro line and get steel braided line...I personally like it better.

Other than that it sound like you have a great settup.

Of course I don't know what you need a e-grip and a r/t for. I would sell one or the other depending on your preference.

Do not sell either the RT or E-Grip, the A5 has that sick hopper for a reason and you may as well have the ability to shoot fast in a couple different ways. It would be nice to be able to slap on the RT if the E-Grip gets funky.

I also agree to get rid of the macro line and go for steel-braided...maybe get it covered with some black wrapping.

Lose the drop and get a good rail....you know, just an on'off ASA on the bottom of your grip. Makes the gun more comfy than a drop.

You can get rubber grips for the HK pistols and use them on your A5.

Also, don't take any offense to thi, but I feel like the CAR stock is the most useless of all stock designs. Look fo a good folding stock.

Also, I own the 8" Bigshot and Mock Suppressor for my A5 and even though the mock suppressor doesn't do anything but cover your barrel, it's a sick looking combo and every A5 owner should have them, IMHO.

You can get a sling, make a hopper cap, buy a new foregrip, sight rails, red dot scopes....it never sends unless you want it to!

Adding a 12" Beadblasted LAPCO Bigshot to your barrel collection is never a bad move either.

thx every one for your compliments and ideas.  I will try to get up pics today in the marker gallery.  I generally use this as a speedball marker, and despite what most people say about how A-5's are not good for speedball, with the JCS Trigger, it freaking rips like no other.  In response to martiniman, i love the JCS Trigger, and it is literally ajustably to a little less than a mouseclick  pull.  PM me if u want further details.  Thanks again all.

Not bad of a setup for a woodsball marker and I do agree wit Zesty and reclusivetorrid, get rid of the Macro Line, the stell braided hose works better in the woods...as for the RT and E-grip its your choice in which one you want to use...I prefer the RT over the E-grip (using batteries sucks), lose the drop forward, its actually useless in woodsball, if you want something better, get a unimount also, on what Zesty suggested, replace the car stock and get a folding stock.

^^^Lol, if i ever play woodsball more seriously, i will take up most of these recommendations.  But for now, like i said before, i am more interested in investing in my marker's speedball preformance.

Well then, you shouldve mentioned that your marker is mainly used for speedball....the answers wouldve been different.

Keep the Car stock; it's a great piece of kit in the woods. You nevwer want to have your stock fully folded; it's best to keep the amrker shouldered while playing in the woods. Shortening it should be all you need for going in close around corners and such, in my experience. I'd suggest a remote line for when you play woods; it's a cheap add on that will make a huge difference with your car stock and flatline combo.

I would look at converting it from a sear tripper into an electro pnematic paint slinger. Possiblely by using the E bolt kit for a 98 and some machining.

Now that I know you'd use it for speedball predominantly, I would say for sure drop the drop forward and get a unimount like "evil_fingers" suggested. It actually makes you more compact and comfortable, and you can take off the CAR stock and forget about that dilema.

I would also look into dropping the gas-through grip and getting some sort of regulator for maximum consistency(which equals accuracy).

Then, maybe some sort of barrel kit.

Basically, get a Unimount as soon as possible...thank me and evil_fingers later! Then start researching which regulator you would like. If you want to go the new barrel route, you can get an 8" LAPCO Bigshot for $50 or less or if you are wanting to spend more you can look into one of the kits.

Good luck! Good choice in guns.

Well, like i said in the original post, a secondary regulator would be negligible because my tank is basically fully adjustable.  I love my Ultralite and also the Flatline, so i don't think i'll be looking into a new barrel anytime soon.  And about the Unimount, i have been considering it for a while, except i feel that the $35 i put into my drop would be wasted.  It is actually a $50 drop, but the owner of my proshop knows me well, so he discounted it .  But from these many recommendations, i will further consider it.  I like the CP Uinmounts.  They appear to be high quality, and i always trust CP.

Correct me if I'm wrong, and I very well may be, but a HPA tank being fully adjustable does NOT necessarily mean it is consistent.

I have heard about the Nitro Duck's being very good tanks, but it's all about your consstency. The only way to know for sure is to shoot your gun over a chrono and see what kind of fluctutions you are getting.

If they are bigger them you'd like them to be, look into a secondary reg.

If not, start looking into the Unimount.

^^^It appears to maintain a very good consistency, and i probably will look into a unimount to buy.  Thanks for the advice Zesty.

If you really wanted to completely finish this gun I would find someone who could install the E Bolt On it!

I have an e bolt installed on mine it was custom done but there is nothing sweeter than a ram air driven a-5. No waiting for the sear to catch and release

I love my A-5's, check out my specs in my signature A-5 Main. Remember Air is an upgrade and the LPK is great when you switch over to air.
