Vertical Adapter and Expansion Chamber.
CO2 is problematic if not given more opportunity to expand. The best way to increase consistancy and performance of your 98 is to Get a good expansion chamber. Everything else is mostly for looks and the ever important intimidation factor at the field. Nothing effects performance more.

Get an X-Chamber and a cheaper barrel like a Teardrop.

Definatly X-chamber kit, or buy a VA and a better chamber, polishing internals will cost you 3 bucks for steel wool and about 5-10 for polish, this is one of THE BEST mods you can do to reduce wear, etc

lets see thats about 50...

an aftermarket barrel is a must, but before you get a flatline just know that it is a pain in the ass to take on and off everytime you take apart your gun, you can get a boomy on the http://www.model98.net - www.model98.net forums for around 55 bucks

so that leaves you with 45 bucks or so, well im pretty sure that most people will agree that the stock grips arent all that comfortable, so a pair of grips is a good upgrade, you can get brand new dye stickie 3's(some of the best grips) for around 25

that leaves you with 20 bucks, now a good aftermarket front bolt is a good upgrade, that will run you anywhere from 5-25 bucks depending on what you get

32* starfire-about $7
Pro-Seal /w tube- About $30
pro-seal bolt- About $10
Hyperstar Bolt- i paid 8 bucks for mine, they are 25 new

from there your pretty much set, maybe in the future a vertical feed, you can get one from rufus dawg for about 25 i think, and you can get the hole drilled at your schools metalshop for free.

the only other thing i can think of is a drop forward, a definate must have for visual and handling appeal

Is the Flatline the only choice you want as for your 1st upgrade?

Because the majority of players knows that the very 1st upgrade for a marker is the barrel.

The new tippmann probably wont be out till sometime early next year or late this year. It would be stupid of tippmann to release so many markers in such a small amount of time. So they are going to release the Pro Custom and the A-5 Pro and then wait ahwile and let people buy those before they release the entirely new marker.

why use your money on an x-chamber, when you could just
buy a HPA tank?

Inline Stabilizer to your Grip Frame's Tank Adapter, plz.

You'll love it. It makes all of your paintballs go the same speed, therefore landing closer to each other. Makes it more quiet, and you'll get more shots out of a CO2 tank.

The RT is not legal on most fields. You may get disappointed by it's performance unless you have it set up perfectly (which costs you time and money [air and paintballs] to calibrate).

The Flatline is a neat upgrade but it also requires too much calibration, and even then you may end up disappointed if it isn't perfect.

I hope you make the right decisions when upgrading. I highly recommend the Inline Stabilizer for $60.
